Leonardo DiCaprio’s model girlfriend Bar Refaeli is desperate for children - and hopes to raise them in her native Israel.

The 22-year-old supermodel wants “at least three” children and would like them to experience a similar childhood to her own, reports the New York Daily News.

She says, “I had a very beautiful childhood and I hope that my kids will be able to experience the same thing.”

But DiCaprio - who is currently filming a Martin Scorsese movie - was unable to comment on his girlfriend’s wish. A spokesman for the star says, “I can’t get him off the set to ask him.”

Despite their brief break in October, Leonardo DiCaprio, 33, and Bar Refaeli, 22, were spotted holding hands at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills on Dec. 20.

Are they back on? “They were never really ‘off,’” a DiCaprio source says.

“It was always a distance thing,” the source adds. “Leo was making a movie in Morocco [this year], and Bar had her modeling career.”

Refaeli’s mom, Zipi, tells Us: “Bar is working all over the world.

Says the DiCaprio pal, “It’s a struggle to make a relationship like theirs work, but yes, they’re together.”

Leo’s woman is sexy hot.

News that Leonardo DiCaprio is planning to wed stunning girlfriend Bar Rafaeli in the summer shocked many. But now we may know the real reason they’re getting hitched so quickly. Word reaches us that the couple, who have been dating for just 15 months, are expecting their first child. Friends claim that Bar - who is the first Israeli model to appear in Sports Illustrated magazine - is due in late autumn. They add that she and Titanic hunk Leo are “delighted”. An excited Leo has said he can’t wait to be a dad, especially since his best mate, Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire, became a father last November. Our spy reveals: “He dotes on Tobey’s little girl Ruby and has been asking him all about what it’s like being a dad.”

There was speculation last month that 21-year-old Bar might be pregnant when she wore a loose-fitting top to a bash at Jet Nightclub at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. She also stuck to mineral water all night. Leonardo, 32, is thought to have proposed very recently, and when he and Bar holidayed in Israel she is said to have officially introduced him to her family - and held a secret engagement party there.

American reports suggest they will have a private wedding ceremony in Israel, followed by a bigger bash in the US toward the end of the year.

We can reveal that Leo’s people have already been in contact with several exclusive venues in Tel Aviv about catering for various aspects of the wedding. The five-star Dan Accadia Herzliya Hotel has been contacted about staging the wedding party, while sources at the lavish King David Hotel in the Old City say Leo’s people have asked about holding the ceremony there.

Leo started dating Bar after splitting from Gisele Bundchen. Early attempts to keep their affair secret failed when they were spotted on a series of romantic breaks in Paris, Prague and New York.

Neither will talk about their relationship - when we interviewed Bar recently, a PR warned us: “No questions about Leo!” But friends reveal that they are very much in love and busy planning a future together.
