According to sources, Balthazar Getty, who plays the Oscar winner’s eldest son, was informed last week that producers were not planning on picking up his option as a full-time series regular next season. However, that doesn’t mean that Tommy’s place setting at the Walker dinner table is being permanently removed. Not yet, anyway. Per a B&S source, Getty is currently in talks with the show to stay on in a reduced capacity, perhaps as a recurring guest star.

While a rep for the show declined to comment, Getty’s spokesperson denies that the actor is leaving.

Rumors about Getty’s possible exit have been grist for the gossip mill for months. The actor’s real-life drama — the collapse of his marriage and ensuing tabloid-ready romance with Sienna Miller — has allegedly alienated him from his co-stars, many of who had grown close to his wife, Rosetta, and their four young children. What’s more, according to E! Online’s Marc Malkin, Getty has been showing up late for work and proving increasingly “difficult” to work with.

But per multiple sources, Getty’s sorta-departure is not the result of any one issue but a combination of factors that also includes budgetary and storyline considerations. Tommy has long been considered the most disposable of B&S’s siblings. Removing him, at least as a regular presence, frees up the show to introduce some new blood.

In any case, don’t expect Tommy to exit by way of a casket. Although an ABC insider says the idea of killing off a Walker has been discussed, the network would likely view such a twist as “too morbid.” As a result, Tommy is likely to either relocate with his wife and baby, or just drift into the background and reappear for the occasional disastrous dinner party.

Balthazar Getty may as well forget about getting any brotherly love at work these days.

Sources say that the actor’s unsettling behavior has alienated him from most—if not all—his Brothers & Sisters costars.

“No one on set is a fan,” one source reports.

Getty has been late to set and he’s been in foul moods. “They often have to move shooting schedules around to accommodate [him],” a source says.

Getty was so “difficult” on Monday that one costar was reduced to tears, according to the sources.

When shooting was delayed, he appeared to become impatient. According to a source, he barked, “When are we going to shoot this?”

When they did start filming, Getty was “forgetting his lines,” a source says.

Getty began losing friends at work back in July when it was revealed he had left his wife and the mother of his four children, Rosetta, for Sienna Miller. To make matters worse, before they hooked up, Miller happened to have dated one of Getty’s pals, his Brothers & Sisters costar Matthew Rhys.

Cast and crew first worried about Getty’s questionable behavior shortly after his and Miller’s romance took off.

But now they’ve had it.

“It’s bad,” one of the sources says. “It’s just so sad.”

A rep for the show says she hasn’t heard anything about Getty’s alleged misbehavior. Getty’s rep did not respond for comment.

Balthazar Getty has called for the U.S. government to curb the paparazzi after his alleged romance with Sienna Miller made him a target for photographers.

The married actor was pictured with a topless Miller on a yacht off Italy’s Amalfi coast in July, sparking reports that they were an item. Weeks later, the father-of-four announced he had separated from his wife – and Getty blamed press intrusion for forcing him to issue the statement.

Now the Brothers & Sisters star has urged officials to introduce laws to regulate the behavior of Hollywood snappers.

He tells Access Hollywood, “I think somebody in government needs to set up some sort of boundaries because it’s really dangerous. Someone’s going to get hurt. Look, obviously it comes with the territory. You can’t expect to be an actor and then nod your finger at them. But there’s a line. When they’re endangering people and they’re breaking laws and they’re, you know, exploiting kids and personal stories…”

Sienna Miller faces a backlash from devotees after editors at one of her largest fan websites threatened to shut it down, slamming her “shameless” relationship with married actor Balthazar Getty.

The Alfie star hit the headlines after pictures emerged of her frolicking with the father-of-four on a yacht off Italy’s Amalfi coast in July.

She has since faced a variety of setbacks, including an attack on her London home in which graffiti hooligans sprayed the word “slut” onto brickwork.

And now editors at one of the British actress’ biggest fan sites, Sienna-Miller.org, have announced plans to close down.

A recent post on the site from one editor hints that it could be the last, adding: “I cannot get past the fact that to me she has completely changed from the Sienna I became a fan of back in 2004… when Sienna can cavort so publicly and so shamelessly with this man who is married and does have four children (including a baby) with his wife, my respect for her goes out of the window… topless on a beach with a married man – come on, Sienna, you know the paparazzi are going to be around.”

Getty recently confirmed he and his wife had split, although he refused to comment on his relationship status with Miller.

Sources tell TMZ Balthazar Getty’s wife won’t be the one filing for divorce.

We’re told Rosetta Millington will not pull the trigger on the marriage and the reasons are, to say the least, interesting. Rosetta is not exactly rolling in cash, nor is Balthazar for that matter. The philandering Getty is getting zilch from the family fortune. He is, however, pulling in a fair amount of money from “Brothers and Sisters.”

We’re told Rosetta doesn’t want to declare the marriage over, which would allow him to separate future earnings from her. She’s the one raising their four kids and she feels she’s more financially secure if she doesn’t file for divorce.

And there’s one more big thing. We’re told the Getty family is so appalled at Balthazar’s affair with Sienna Miller, they are supporting her — in more ways than one. So why rock the boat?

Sadie Frost has rushed to the defense of her formal love rival Sienna Miller over her alleged affair with Balthazar Getty.

Miller, who dated Frost’s ex-husband Jude Law after the couple divorced, hit the headlines in July when pictures emerged of her frolicking with married actor Getty.

But the 41-year-old insists the Factory Girl star has been victimized by the press.

Frost says, “She is a nice person. She’s young. She’s a free spirit. She has been really unfairly treated. Whatever she does in her personal life, that is between her and the other person. It isn’t for the media to persuade the public that she is a bad person.”
