OSCARS!!!

402652542_11039c85d9.jpg

Okay, well – the Oscars were as boring as HELL last night.  They were REALLY LONG…and INSANELY boring.  (I swear it took 3 hours just to get to the good awards).  BUT with that said, I think Ellen Degeneres did amazing.  She was great! My favorite part of the night was the song by Will Ferrell and Jack Black…that was great.  Everything else – pretty much a snooze fest.

For the complete list of winners…go here!  Otherwise, onto my BEST and WORST dressed!

Did you wonder what those blue puzzle pins were that everyone was wearing last night?

puzzlew.jpg

Well, me too!  The blue puzzle piece represents a charity, Autism Speaks.

Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars showed their support for Autism Speaks and its mission of autism awareness and research by wearing the organization’s distinctive blue puzzle piece lapel pin on their tuxedos and gowns during last night’s Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles. Golden Globe winner Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), nominee Steve Carell (The Office), nominee Masi Oka (Heroes) and presenters Tina Fey (30 Rock) and John Stamos (E.R.) were among those who made the fashion statement. Autism Speaks is dedicated to increasing awareness of the growing autism epidemic – 1 in 166 children is now diagnosed with autism — and to raising money to fund scientists who are searching for a cure. It was founded in February 2005 by Suzanne and Bob Wright, whose grandson has autism. Bob Wright is Vice Chairman and Executive Officer, General Electric, and Chairman and CEO, NBC Universal.

And the Most Awkward Award Goes To…

helen_blog.jpg

Sadly, due to time constraints, the Golden Globe Awards ended prematurely last night before the last category was announced. We speak, of course, of the Most Awkward Golden Globe for which there were five worthy contenders:

· Ben Stiller, who introduced the film Borat with the unfunny joke, “You will laugh, you will cry, you will see a man hold a bag of his own poop – and, no, I’m not talking about Rocky Balboa.”

· Meryl Streep, who stopped to talk to Jack Nicholson‘s daughter, Lorraine, on her way to the retrieve the award for best performance by an actress in a comedy and started her acceptance speech, “I told Lorraine she came to a birthday party at my house in Beverly Hills with snakes. We had snakes! But then we moved back east.”

· Helen Mirren’s breasts. There’s just something weird about seeing cleavage on a gray-haired woman. That’s just the way it is.

· Annette Bening’s forced smile during all the “Your husband has had sex with everyone” jokes.

· Arnold Schwarzenegger, who ended the evening in character as the Terminator saying, “Don’t forget next year. We’ll be back!” He should have at least opted for the “I’m the pawty poopah” bit from Kindergarten Cop.

Apparently the NY Post has a problem with Angelina Jolie.

12030_hqcb_net_angelina_jolie_34_122_392lo.jpg

From the NY Post on Angelina last night:

Who put the bee in Angelina’s bonnet – or, should we say, in her helmet hair? The good shepherdess looked positively peeved on the red carpet alongside life partner Brad Pitt. In fact, rather than an earth mother out to save all the world’s orphans, she looked more like the “Alien” mother, poised to eat her young.

Jolie remained mum during an interview with Ryan Seacrest, ignoring questions posed in her direction, until Seacrest asked her a question about their family and boldly stuck his microphone right into her face.

After a rare red-carpet moment of stony silence, Brad leapt in and said, “The answer is ‘no comment.’”

The “Tomb Raider” star’s death glare seemed to extend even in Pitt’s direction, as he answered questions from Seacrest about their children and his nominated film, “Babel.”

Jolie’s brow furrowed as Pitt told Seacrest he wanted a whole soccer team of Jolie-Pitts. Guess Angie isn’t so keen on a big brood – or on Brad’s cavalier attitude toward talking about the fam.

With her frail limbs hooked around her purse, one couldn’t help but be reminded of a praying mantis. It doesn’t bode well for Pitt!

You’d think that her designer, St. John, could have gotten Jolie to at least crack a bit of a smile – she is getting paid $12 million to don their smoky gray chiffon goddess gown for her trip along the carpet. It took a victory by her beau’s “Babel” to finally get her to lighten up.

GOLDEN GLOBES: ICYDK’S BEST AND WORST DRESSED!!

For the most part, everyone looked really great last night.  But there were a few who made us wonder, “WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!” Here is my WORST Dressed List!

WORST DRESSED!

Jennifer Love Hewitt

03752_hqcb_net_jennifer_love_hewitt_02_122_394lo.jpg

Vanessa Williams: No, that’s not the Lion from the Wizard of Oz.  The dress is okay at best, but the hair bumps her to the worst list.

Cameron Diaz: Last night when I watched it, I thought the dress was pretty.  But the more I look at it, the more I realize it’s kinda a mess.

Salma Hayek: Very unflattering.

Beyonce:  Cause she’s crazy, and I can’t stand her. (To the left! To the Left!)

Sharon Stone: Wow, crazy much?
