Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have sold their massive multi-million dollar New York penthouse, and their neighbors are happy to see the twins and their partying ways hit the road.

The 22-year-old media mogul sisters snapped up the massive Manhattan pad in 2004 after moving from their native Los Angeles to the east coast to attend New York University.

But they have sold it for $10.45 million, after dropping the price by almost $1 million to ensure a quick sale.

A former neighbor of the starlets tells the New York Post, “The bodyguards in their SUVs are always getting in the way of our alternate-side parking routine. You’d think the president was living here.

“They certainly keep late hours. I was jogging early one morning and they were piling out of their gas guzzlers in their little club outfits.”

The sisters are now set to rent another apartment in the city’s star-studded West Village area at a $12,000 a month price tag.

Their new home — a 10-room triplex brownstone — includes five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a terrace.

In the meantime, the buying price for their former abode has been lowered from $11.9 million to $10.45 million.

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have laughed off rumours a barista at their local coffee shop has been secretly trying to fatten up the stars - by substituting their usual skimmed milk with a full fat version.

A worker at the twins’ local Starbucks outlet in New York has reportedly confessed to altering the stars’ morning drinks because he was concerned about their skinny frames.

According to U.S. magazine OK!, the girls regularly ordered fat-free beverages but, “the barista thought the Olsens were too thin, so whenever they ordered their usual drink, he would replace the skim milk with full-fat.”
But a representative for the actresses has blasted the claims, insisting the story is “ridiculous”.

The sisters ‘beat’ Courtney Love and Sharon Stone to the top of In Touch’s anti-style hit list.

Victoria Beckham, Oscar winner Tilda Swinton, Lindsay Lohan and Amy Winehouse also make the Hollywood’s Biggest Fashion Offenders countdown.

She’s worth nearly a billion dollars, but Ashley Olsen would rather temporarily crash with a friend than stay at any of the top hotels she could certainly afford.

Ashley plunked down $1.6 million for a home in the Hancock Park section of Los Angeles, and while the place is being completely remodeled, she’s sleeping on a pullout sofa bed at her longtime stylist’s house.

According to an insider, Ashley, 21, moved in with Estee Stanley in February until the work on her home is completed. “Ashley is redoing the whole place, so it’s taking time,” her pal reveals. “She’s spending nearly $1 million on the renovations.” Estee has also worked with Demi Moore, Jessica Biel and Penelope Cruz.

Playboy boss Hugh Hefner is hoping to convince the Olsen twins to celebrate their 22nd birthday in June by stripping off in the magazine. The media mogul has attempted to woo Mary-Kate and Ashley to disrobe in Playboy since they turned 18 - and he’s now launched a renewed bid to tempt them out of their clothes for a special celebratory photo shoot.

A source tells American magazine Star, “Hef thinks the twins are every young man’s fantasy.” But insiders insist the Olsens are holding out for a more classy magazine deal, telling Star, “They’re all about high-end fashion these days. They want to do Vogue.”

In a new ad campaign to be unveiled today at the Olsens’ Walk of Fame star on Hollywood Boulevard, PETA blasts the 21-year-old star sibs — whom they dub the “Trollsen Twins — for wearing fur and including it in their collections Elizabeth and James and The Row.”Thin-twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are about to get some publicity that will have them running away faster than if they’d spotted a calorie,” the group said in a snarky statement today.

The new ad features the twins under the headline “Fur Is Worn by Beautiful Animals and Ugly People.”

To coincide with the ad, PETA has also launched a new web site devoted to “Hairy-Kate” and “Trashley.”

It features, among other things, a mash-up video called “Full House of Horrors,” in which footage from the twins’ former hit TV show is interspersed with – you guessed it – scenes of animals being killed for fur.

“No one would argue that Mary-Kate and Ashley could use some meat on their bones, but the last thing they need is hair on their backs,” PETA’s Assistant Director of Youth Campaigns Dan Shannon said in a statement.
