Here it is! We’ve finally got our first look at Carrie Bradshaw before Mr. Big, before the clothes and the shoes.
The CW will debut ‘The Carrie Diaries’ in January. It stars AnnaSophia Robb in the role made famous by Sarah Jessica Parker. It will chronicle Carrie’s senior year of high school, which took place in New York in the 1980s.
Hope it’s good – the preview looks great – although I am disturbed by the “hot dog in a keyhole” comment.

Here’s a sneak peek at some photos of AnnaSophia Robb and co-star Freema Agyeman on the set of “The Carrie Diaries”.
This is what AnnaSophia said about Sara Jessica Parker and her new role as Carrie Bradshaw.
“She sent me a letter! I wrote her one back, too,” Robb, 18, told Us Weekly at the launch of Salvatore Ferragamo’s Signorina fragrance in NYC Tuesday. “She was just very encouraging about it all. It was really cool!”
Robb began filming her first episode in the Big Apple Wednesday, but her preparation began months ago. “We’ve been doing a lot of rehearsals this week, and I’ve been watching the show and really trying to click with the character,” she said.
“I know everyone’s going to compare it to Sex and the City, but we’re never going to be that,” she told Us. “The show is more for my generation, but it’s set in the ’80s, so it’s fun.
“Prior to being cast in The Carrie Diaries, Robb was best known for her roles in Bridge to Terabithia, Race to Witch Mountain and Soul Surfer.

Take your first peek of AnnaSophia Robb as the young Carrie Bradshaw in CW’s pilot for “The Carrie Diaries.” Even though I am in my 30′s I do enjoy a good CW drama, Hart of Dixie, Gossip Girl anyone?
“The Carrie Diaries” is based on Candace Bushnell’s novel of the same name and tells the story of Carrie Bradshaw’s coming of age in the 1980, “asking her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan,” according to a release.
“The search for Carrie Bradshaw was an exciting adventure. Having been a part of the ‘Sex and the City’ series, I felt such an honor and responsibility to the fans of the show to find someone who embodied the spirit of Manhattan’s favorite ‘It’ girl,” writer/executive producer Amy B. Harris said in the release. “When AnnaSophia Robb walked into the room, we knew we had found her. Her grace, intelligence, sense of fun and her empathetic nature make her the perfect girl to bring our young Carrie to life. The fact that she loves a gorgeous pair of heels doesn’t hurt either.”
Emmy-winning “Sex and the City” and “Gossip Girl” costume designer Eric Daman will dress Robb.
“It’s a rare invitation to dress a character whose reputation truly precedes her,” he said. “Having played a hand in designing for the Carrie we know and love, I am honored to be chosen to carry the torch–to illuminate the woman we know by discovering the young lady she was.”
“The Carrie Diaries” pilot is executive produced by Harris, Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, Len Goldstein, Bushnell and Miguel Arteta. Harris wrote the pilot, which is directed by Arteta.

AnnaSophia Robb has been cast to play the young Carrie Bradshaw in the CW’s ‘Sex and the City’ prequel, ‘The Carrie Diaries’.
You may recognize the young actress from ‘Soul Surfer’ and as Violet in ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.
‘The Carrie Diaries’ will tell the story of a young Bradshaw coming of age in Manhattan in the 1980s. The show will follow the novel, of the same name, written by Candace Bushnell. Young Bradshaw will face issues such as love, sex, drugs and other teen problems.
The scene is set in Thailand just after the Tsunami and both girls could be seen handing out water and looking after the children affected.

Carrie has been cast in her first studio movie, “Soul Surfer,” Access Hollywood has learned. The movie is based on the life of 19-year-old champion surfer Bethany Hamilton who, for over six years, has defied all odds to compete and win professional championships after losing her arm in a shark attack at age thirteen.
The former “American Idol” has been cast as Sarah Hill, a church youth leader.
The movie also stars AnnaSophia Robb as Bethany Hamilton, Helen Hunt as Bethany’s mother Cheri and Dennis Quaid as Bethany’s father Tom.
In addition, Jack Nicholson’s 19-year-old daughter, Lorraine, has landed the role of Hamilton’s best friend, Alana Blanchard, who was with Hamilton the day of the attack. Kevin Sorbo has been cast as Holt Blanchard.
