Angelina Jolie struck this pose most of the night last night at the 84th Annual Acadamy Awards in Los Angeles.

She wore a custom Atelier Versace gown that featured a very high slit. The 36-year-old was certainly loving her dress!  ”I wanted to be comfortable and I feel sexy in black velvet,” Jolie told Us Weekly.

While presenting the awards for Best Original Screenplay and Best Adapted Screenplay, the In the Land of Blood and Honey director struck a sultry pose onstage, which The Descendants screenwriter Jim Rash publicly mocked after his big win.

Jolie’s over-the-top posing wasn’t the only thing that stood out at the star-studded ceremony: her increasingly thin appearance became a topic of concern on Twitter. According to The Academy, Jolie’s bony body ignited 3,399 tweets per minute.

“Dear Angelina Jolie. . .eat something,” wrote singer-songwriter Bonnie McKee.

Echoed Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks: “Angelina Jolie is beautiful but she needs a lil’ more meat on those bones!” The Bravo star also suggested that the mother-six eat “some biscuits and Popeyes chicken.”

I agree her pose while on the Oscars stage was incredibly ridiculous. She didn’t look hot at all, she looked freaky! She doesn’t have the curves to pull off a pose like that. She just looked frail and sickly.

Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie had an intense relationship that lasted for two years from 2000-2003. They were so crazy in love and all over each other. When you saw pictures of the two of them together, they were inseparable. It was like no one else was in the room but the two of them.

Last week the National Enquirer ran a story that Brad Pitt was “crying” over the fact that Angelina was planning on reconnecting with Billy Bob. Personally, I don’t buy it – but who knows. Angelina still has some feelings for Billy Bob at least in a friendly way, because she’s just written the forward to his new memoir!

No bad blood — or blood vials — here! Angelina Jolie has written the foreword to ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton’s new memoir, The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts, a rep for the book’s publisher, HarperCollins, confirms to Us Weekly.

Jolie, 36, and Thornton, 56, were married from 2000 to 2003; during their intense, sometimes odd union, the couple famously wore vials of one another’s blood around their necks. Jolie and Brad Pitt have been together (but not married) since 2005. Married five times overall, Thornton and makeup artist Connie Angland have been in a relationship since 2003.

“We talk every now and then,” the Faster actor said in late 2010 of Jolie. “She seems to be doing very well directing her own movie [In the Land of Blood and Honey], which I am so proud of her for. She’s real smart, and very creative, and I think it’s a great job for her.”

Cowritten with country music singer and author Kinky Friedman, The Billy Bob Tapes promises to tell, according to book description info on Amazon, “colorful tales of his modest (to say the least) Southern upbringing, his bizarre phobias (komodo dragons?), his life, his loves (including his heartbreakingly brief marriage to fellow Oscar winner Angelina Jolie), and, of course, his movie career.”

I forget that they were actually married! His book would be incredibly interesting, I bet. And we know he can write! He wrote Oscar-nominated A Simple Plan and much-loved Sling Blade.

Here are some new pictures of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the Paris premiere of her movie, ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey’. Angelina wore an interesting dress by Ralph and Russo. Half of me loves the dress, and the other half is torn. I don’t know about the giant rose at her neck. The grey cashmere dress she wore the other day was also Ralph & Russo, but I liked that one better.

Actress Angelina Jolie and her partner, Brad Pitt attended the “In the Land of Blood and Honey” screening at Zetra Olympic center last night in Sarajevo, Bosnia. Angelina got a warm welcome from the audience and added, “I am happy to be here. I love Bosnia, I love you.”

I think Angelina looks great, and Brad looks even better.

According to this report at the Washington Post (read the full piece here), Angelina greeted the 5,000-strong crowd with a few words in Bosnian, then she gave a little speech in English. After the film, she got a standing ovation, which made her cry, and she said, “To share this with you means the world to me.”

At a press conference earlier in the day (in Sarajevo), Angelina talked about the need for a “wake up call” for the international community to pay attention to war crimes and atrocities in real time. She made some pointed comments about the situation in Syria too – “I am satisfied with what we made, I feel very strongly about it and I believe that its core issue — which is the need for intervention and need for the world to care about atrocities when they are happening — is very, very timely and especially with things that are happening in Syria today.” Wait… so she’s saying that we need to get involved in Syria? I mean… I understand the humanitarian argument, sure. But there’s so much more at play in Syria than encouraging America to get on a white horse and “save the day.” Will the proponents of force say that we’ll be greeted as liberators? Again? Angelina has the heart of a neo-conservative, I swear.

She also addressed concerns by the Serb community that they are being portrayed as “the bad guys” in the film: “I think it is very important that this film is out at this time and … if this film points the finger at anybody it is the international community. I understand that it’s sensitive. But I also know that the Serbian people are intelligent and open-minded people. They will know the difference between what’s been forced upon them and what they feel in their own hearts… although it’s difficult, I hope that they see intention behind it.” In a rare move, Angelina is also arranging “private screenings” for Serbs who are interested in seeing the film – she will even send the film to someone’s home, if they are interested.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie attend the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival – Cinema For Peace Gala, where Angelina was honored for her work in ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey’.

Angelina wore a beautiful grey cashmere gown by Ralph & Russo. She looks great here, in my opinion. I love the tailored look of the dress, it suits her much more than flowy/sack dresses. Her hair and makeup is beautiful as well!  (Brad isn’t hard on the eyes either!)

Angie won an award at the gala which recognizes films that are “directed against human rights abuses, war and genocide.” While walking the red carpet, she was asked if she’d ever consider directing again.

Angelina Jolie says she’s not yet sure whether she will follow her directorial debut on the Bosnian war with another film on such serious material — but she has already written a script focusing on the conflict in Afghanistan.

Jolie, who presented her movie “In the Land of Blood and Honey” at the Berlin International Film Festival, told reporters Monday that even her husband Brad Pitt is unfamiliar with her Afghanistan idea.

She says: “I did write something on Afghanistan. Nobody’s seen it yet. Brad hasn’t seen it. It’s hidden. So I don’t know how very good it is, but it’s been a pleasure to write.”

Meantime, she says her next project is playing the villain in a Disney film — something she says her kids are much happier about.

I would really like to see this film, but I’ll wait until it’s out on DVD. Have any of you seen it? What’s your take?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were in Berlin last night attending the Cinema for Peace Gala (I’ll post pictures in a bit) where Angelina won an award for her movie, ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey’.

The couple hopped on a plane shortly after, and arrived in Sarajevo this morning. Angelina is set to attend the screening of her movie later tonight.

She and her ‘Moneyball’ partner will be attending a press conference while screening the movie in Zetra Olympic center.

Even though it’s expected 5,000 people will show up for the premiere tonight, it’s been reported that Serbs want nothing to do with the film. Vladimir Ljevar told The Associated Press, “There is simply no interest for this movie here, so I can’t sell any tickets.”

The film distributor added, “The fact that the Serbs are the bad guys in it is the reason why there is no interest. The film is lousy. I watched it. It has had bad reviews. It is unprofitable.”
