Ryan Seacrest Wants To Leave 'American Idol'!

Rumors are making their way across the internet suggesting that “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest is actually thinking about leaving the show! Could you imagine the show without him?!?

A source said that Ryan’s journey on the show might be “winding down” and that the veteran host is making preparations in order to leave the show. A source said, “Ryan is telling friends that this season of Idol is likely to be hist last. He’s lost the passion for it, and desperately wants to do different things at this point in his career, like produce the Oscars and start developing more of his original ideas.”

The source continued, “Ryan’s reduced role in this year’s Emmy’s red carpet coverage is a clear move toward a life that involves less hosting and more producing. He wants to transition to behind the scenes more, and is getting fed up with the ‘interviewing people’ part of his job, when his heart is really in the work he does as a producer.”

The spy added, “This season of Idol is going to be a real endurance test for Ryan. Idol is holding him back right now, but it’s also the most money he’s ever been paid for anything, so he has to be a politician about it.”

Would you watch “American Idol” without Ryan Seacrest?

Jennifer Lopez arrives for ‘American Idol’ looking smoking hot!

Jennifer Lopez is probably the only thing that makes American Idol at all worth watching or even tolerable anymore, and these photos are a perfect example of why. She turned up for Thursday night’s results show in an amazing red dress and looked absolutely smoking hot.

Let’s all keep in mind that this woman is 44 years old. She looks amazing for ANY age, but 44? Tell us the secret to your fountain of youth!

‘American Idol’ returned last night – with the worst ratings it’s ever had.

The 2014 Fox All-Star Winter TCA Party

American Idol returned last night, and had it’s lowest premiere rating ever. The 13th season of Fox’s onetime hit show delivered only 15 million viewers, down 23 percent from last year. Producers were hoping new judge Harry Connick Jr. would bring in a new crowd, but even he couldn’t help.

The performance continues an overall downward trend for the series since 2006, and the show’s premiere ratings have dropped consistently since 2010. It’s a testament to how massive the show’s ratings were in its early years that Idol has managed to fall in the Nielsen numbers for eight years straight and still deliver strong ratings. But there was some mild hope this year might avoid yet another dip given how strong the drops have been — surely it was time for a least a little uptick, right? By comparison, The Voice debuted to 14.9 million viewers and a 5.1 adult demo rating in the fall, marking the first time Idol has premiered to a lower demo rating than its NBC rival. At least Idol can claim it won the night — the show hugely dominated Wednesday’s ratings.

Idol‘s tone during last night’s Austin audition kick-off was notably friendlier among the judges, a departure from last season’s tense drama-filled panel that featured Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey (both of whom are no longer on the show). Some critics have suspected that Idol is taking a cue from the success of The Voice, which has a panel that’s often praised for its feel-good camaraderie. Connick Jr. shared the table with returning judges Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez (the latter returning to the show after a one-year absence). Fox also made changes behind the scenes this year, shedding longtime producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick and bringing aboard Per Blankens, Jesse Ignjatovic and Evan Prager.

Here’s my two-cents on American Idol. For the first 5 seasons or so I REALLY loved it. It was new, it was fresh, it was exciting…. you actually CARED who won. But after that, it just got awfully boring. I’m sure you couldn’t even tell me who won the last 5 seasons. I think for one thing – the music has got to change. I don’t want to see young kids singing oldies. I just don’t. Second, they need to spice it up somehow. Change something OTHER than the judges.

Do you still watch it? What do you think?

Jennifer Lopez: “I don’t like to be alone.” What a shocking revelation.

The 2014 Fox All-Star Winter TCA Party

Jennifer Lopez is currently promoting the heck out of her return to American Idol. In the upcoming Season 13, she, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. will serve as judges.

During a panel for American Idol, Jennifer opened up about her divorce from ex-husband Marc Anthony, and whether or not she’ll get married again (she’s currently dating dancer-choreographer Casper Smart).

Shortly after her summer 2011 separation from Anthony, 45, the singer went on tour, marking a new chapter for the star. “That was a transformative year for me in so many ways. I had just divorced, and I went on tour with the kids and it was just like, ‘hooooo!’ And I left Idol. It’s like all my security blankets were gone and I was out there doing something I had never done before,” she said. (Lopez, 44, and the Spanish singer split in July 2011 after seven years of marriage. The pair are parents to twins Max and Emme, 5. The singer went on to join the FOX series as a judge for seasons 10 and 11 in 2011 and 2012 respectively.)

Lopez was married twice before Anthony. In January 1998, she divorced Ojani Noa after one year of marriage, and, after a notable relationship with Diddy, she married dancer Cris Judd in 2001 until their divorce in 2003. In arguably her most high-profile romance, she dated Ben Affleck for over two years. The exes — known as “Bennifer” at the time — called off their engagement in 2004.

“I’m one of those people who does not like to be alone. I have no shame saying that at this point in my life,” she explained during the panel. “I think we have to own who we are.”

As for walking down the aisle for the fourth time? “I don’t know, I don’t know, we’ll see,” she said. “I always believed in that institution. My parents were married for a very long time, for 35 years. I believe in it. It’s difficult. I’ve had my challenges but at the same time I believe in love. That’s the main thing.”

I think it’s a fairly obvious thing, her not liking to be alone. She jumps from man-t0-man. If anything ever happened with Casper, she’s be on to the next! I don’t think marriage is for her, though. Three marriages already? Crazy talk.
