Clay Aiken vs Adam Lambert

80409c3_aiken_c_b_gr_02.jpg

Well, it seems another celebrefeud is on the horizon.

“For the record…I couldn’t be happier about the way AI ended this year. I only turn the show on once a season, and only to see what the set looks like each year.”

“This year, I happened to turn it during the minute that Adam Lambert was singing ‘Ring of Fire’ and, at that moment, thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful and slightly frightening!”

He managed to finish with a very diplomatic “Just not my cup of tea at all. To each his own.”

If you can’t say something nice….

Kara DioGuardi and Bikini Girl Face Off Again at Idol Finale!

kara-bikini-girl-b.jpg

Kara DioGuardi and “Bikini Girl” Katrina Darrell faced off again on last night’s American Idol finale.

The duo famously sparred during tryouts, when DioGuardi trashed Darrell’s rendition of Mariah Carey’s “Vision of Love” — and then burst into the tune herself. Darrell then slammed DioGuardi’s version, before Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson voted her through.

On last night’s show, Darrell showed off her bikini bod once again — and noticeably larger breasts.

Joked Ryan Seacrest: “I’d ask what’s new, but I already know!”

Darrell broke into her infamous Carey song — and appeared surprised when DioGuardi suddenly joined her for a duet.

At the end of the song, DioGuardi ripped off her dress to reveal her bikini bod — and Seacrest announced they dared her to in exchange for a donation to her favorite charity.

Kris Allen “Exhausted, Shocked!” After Winning Idol

allen-surprised-b.jpg

Kris won!! Yay team!

Kris Allen can’t believe he won American Idol.

“I feel tired, but I feel great,” the 23-year-old Arkansas native told reporters after last night’s show. “I’m exhausted, but I’m shocked — I’m really shocked.”

Allen says he still “feels that” Adam Lambert should have taken the title “because he deserves it just as much as I do.

“He’s an amazing, amazing performer, a gifted, gifted guy and really just an amazing guy. And it was fun doing this with him. It really was.”

After winning the show, Allen’s wife, Katy, ran up and hugged him.

“She didn’t say anything, we just hugged each other. We just felt like we needed that,” Allen tells Us. “[Now] this is all over with…we can be married again.

But Katy won’t be joining him on tour, even though she was in the audience each week on Idol.

“She doesn’t want to follow me around, so she’s going to come for a couple of shows for sure, but she going to have her own life for the summer. But we’ll be keeping in touch a lot,” Allen says.

Lambert, the runner-up, tells Us he “kind of had a feeling” Allen would win when he was standing on stage.

“There was a second where I guess I, like, had to prepare myself for either possibility, and I was like, ‘I think it might be Kris,’” the 27-year-old San Diego native tells Us.

Even though he didn’t win, he says he had no regrets.

“I felt really satisfied with [Tuesday] night’s show,” he tells Us.

Who are you rooting for?

24xpd7s1.jpg

Just curious where you all stand.  I watched last night’s American Idol, and I totally think Kris Allen should win. I love him! I’m not saying that Adam Lambert isn’t talented – he totally is…..but Kris Allen is remarkable! His songs actually move me, make me feel something! I think Kris should win, but hey – that’s me.  What do you think?

PS: I don’t think that Adam Lambert needs American Idol. He will go on and have an amazing career, either way!

Adam Lambert: “I Know Who I Am”

lambert-ew-b.jpg

Gay? Straight?

Adam Lambert isn’t revealing either way.

The American Idol frontrunner skirts questions about public scrutiny of his sexuality in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly.

“I know who I am,” says Lambert — who has appeared on the web dressed in drag and is widely assumed to be gay by celeb followers Kathy Griffin and Hairspray director Adam Shankman.

“I’m an honest guy, and I’m just going to keep on singing,” continues the 27-year-old San Diego native — who has only landed in Idol’s bottom three once this season.

Simon Cowell told TV Guide that Idol has “never had an issue” with Lambert’s sexuality and called it a “huge step forward” — but never discussed if he’s out specifically. Judges have also called him “brave” for “being himself.”

Lambert wouldn’t be the only contestant in Idol history who is gay, if he is in fact gay. Clay Aiken, who came in second place behind Ruben Studdard in 2003, came out in April 2008, declaring “people don’t care” about his sexuality.

Still, Aiken admitted Idol voters “don’t want to have that type of stuff pushed, people who are living in Omaha or in Charlotte or wherever.”

Lambert — who could be the first gay Idol winner — is leaving everyone guessing.

A TMZ.com reporter recently ambushed him, asking awkwardly: “So, you could be the first….”

Lambert smiled and teased: “The first what?”

Neither the reporter nor Lambert finished the sentence.
