Amber Portwood asked the judge to send her to jail – rather than treatment – and looks like the ‘Teen Mom’ has gotten her wish!

According to TMZ, the young mother asked an Indiana judge to ‘reimpose her sentence’ after being arrested in December. Had Amber successfully completed her rehab treatment, she wouldn’t have had to go to jail. While in court last month, Amber told the judge she’d rather go to jail than rehab.

She reportedly blurted out her admission in front of her lawyer, who was said to have been shocked by the statement.

Portwood told the judge that she was a ‘bad girl’, and had used since starting the program, which she said she ‘couldn’t stand’.

She allegedly then asked the judge to send her to prison because she just couldn’t complete the order.

The judge accepted her plea, and subsequently sent her right back behind bars inside the Madison County jail in Indiana.

The ordeal comes as Amber was released from jail just a few weeks ago in May, stemming from her original drug arrest in December.

She had been arrested and sent to prison for skipping a drug court appointment, then allegedly lying about it.

Sources told TMZ, the same judge took pity on her and decided she should be released back to home detention.

At the time the judge told her that he wanted her to continue drug rehabilitation treatment and find a proper job.

Her previous stint in jail was triggered after she told authorities the reason she missed her appointment was she had undergone a laparoscopic gall bladder surgery and was ordered to be on bed rest by her doctors for two to three weeks.

But her case manager did not believe her, and after speaking to her doctor found out she was lying.

Her physician maintained that she was well enough to go to court and take her drugs test, and as a result she was ordered back to jail for being in violation of her probation.

For the sake of her daughter, I really hope she can get her sh*t together.

The two were photographed holding hands outside the Madison County Circuit Court in Anderson, Indiana yesterday before Portwood, 22, was taken into custody.  This young mom  violated the terms of her drug court program…again.   Portwood told the judge that she would rather serve jailtime than complete her court-ordered drug rehab program outside of prison.

Gary seemed pretty glum after taking his ex to prison, and tweeted as such, saying that he was “Leaving Anderson…need some cheering up,” according to his twitter feed. 

Amber Portwood really needs to grow up.  She’s a freaking MOM. Act like one!

“Teen Mom” star Amber Portwood is back in jail.

Portwood has been ordered by the court to take weekly drug tests, as part of her probation. She missed one of these tests, and used the excuse that she had a medical condition which required her to be on bedrest for 2-3 weeks. Problem is, the prosecutors called her doctor to confirm Amber’s story – and the thing was B.S.

The troubled reality star told officials that she was recovering from laparoscopic gallbladder surgery and was on “doctor-ordered bed rest” for 2-3 weeks — but the doctor later said he gave no such order.

TMZ reports that Portwood could remain in custody for several weeks. But Portwood should be feeling right at home in her cell. This isn’t her first time behind bars.

In December 2011, the “Teen Mom” was arrested for drug possession and probation violation. Although she did initially spend time in jail for the class D felony — to which she pled guilty on all charges – she was later awarded a plea deal and released to a rehab facility, avoiding a 5-year jail sentence.

Before her drug-related arrest, Portwood was in the middle of serving 2 years probation for domestic battery. She infamously assaulted the father of her child, Gary Shirley, while “Teen Mom” cameras were rolling.

Man, she just can’t do anything right – and she’s a complete idiot – so that doesn’t help. Who would think you could make up a story like bedrest – and NOT think that the prosecutor was going to check on you? God please let her not have custody of her little girl.

Amber Portwood, who stars in MTV’s ‘Teen Mom’ was sentenced to five years in prison today. The 21-year-old mom will avoid doing a lot of the prison time by accepting to enter a drug program.

Portwood was shackled at the ankles and wrists today as she appeared in Madison County Court in Anderson, Indiana.

Under a plea deal, the reality TV star plead guilty to one count of Class D felony possession of a controlled substance, and one count of parole probation violation. If she succeeds in completing the terms of the drug court program, the case against her will be dismissed. If she fails, the judge told Portwood she would be send to prison to serve the five years he ordered.

‘I know it is going to be hard but I have a lot to lose – I have a daughter,’ Portwood quietly told Judge Happe.

‘All I can do is try, I have a lot of people behind me.’

Asked what she hoped to get out of the plea deal, Portwood said: ‘I want to possibly get my family back.

‘I have been doing pills for eight years, since I was 13, and since then I have never been drug free until I detoxed.

‘I think about my daughter all the time and I did not really do that before, I always thought about when I was going to get more pills.

‘I am just a better person when I am off them. I remember when I was sober after rehab I was happier then too.

Amber was arrested on December 19th at the courthouse during a meeting with probation officers for violating her probation. On December 22 she was charged with Class D felony possession of a controlled substance – hydrocodone pills.

What a mess! Hopefully she can get her life back in order. For her daughters sake!

“Teen Mom” Amber Portwood is back in jail after a judge issued a warrant for her arrest, according to TMZ.

It’s unclear why the judge issued the warrant — whether it’s related to Amber’s most recent alleged probation violations, including a fight Amber got into at a restaurant last month … or a new one entirely.

Amber is currently being booked at Madison County Jail in Indiana — where she’s now expected to spend the holidays.

She’s due to face a judge on January 13.

I feel bad for all these ‘Teen Mom’ girls. The reality show doesn’t do them any favors.

‘Teen Mom’ bad girl Amber Portwood may have recently gone public with her bipolar and dissociative disorders, but now it’s reported that the single mother has violated all of her probation terms — and it looks like she could go to jail for two years if convicted.

– “Failure to behave well in society” — namely, drinking too much and hitting a person at a restaurant last month
– Failure to obtain a GED
– Failure to complete 6 months of anger control evaluation and classes
– Failure to pay probation fees
– Failure to set up a $10,000 college fund for her baby daughter

Amber was sentenced to 2 years in jail after being convicted of beating the crap out of her baby daddy Gary Shirley – but the sentence was suspended on the condition that she do all of the above.

Amber’s all set to return to the courthouse in January to try to convince a judge that she shouldn’t be locked up.

Teen Mom Amber Portwood is making some changes in her life, revealing that she’s been diagnosed with bipolar and dissociative disorder and instead of keeping it private, she’s hoping that she can help others that may struggle with either condition.

“I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder three years ago. I struggle with it. I hate it. I grieve over it.

“When I went to rehab for two months, they diagnosed me with disassociative disorder too, which makes me black out. People don’t understand what it’s like.”

Amber made headlines earlier this year after she was taped hitting her then boyfriend Gary Shirley who is also the father of her 2-year-old child, Leah.

The reality starlet, 21, was charged with two felony domestic battery charges, but ultimately had the no-contact order modified so that both she and Shirley could care for their daughter.

Apparently Amber has moved on from her turbulent past and has found love with 22-year-old Mike who she’s been with for about a month.

“I always knew I wouldn’t be with Gary for the long term, but with Mike, I know he’s the one. We never fight. He balances me out.”
