Amanda Seyfried is in talks to play the role of legendary porn star-turned-activist Linda Lovelace, according to Variety.
She’s in talks to play the role in the aptly titled “Lovelace,” a drama based on a biography by Eric Danville. Peter Sarsgaard is in talks to play the role of Chuck Traynor, the man who turned the then-Linda Boreman into a porn star, married her and allegedly abused her before she filed for divorce.
Seyfried and Sarsgaard aren’t the first stars to be attached to this specific film, as back in January, it was reported that Kate Hudson and James Franco would play Lovelace and Traynor, respectively; the film’s directors, Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, headed up the Allen Ginsberg biopic in which Franco starred last year. Olivia Wilde was rumored to be in talks for the role last week, but she denied her involvement.
Lindsay Lohan was set to play Lovelace in a biopic titled “Inferno” last year, but legal troubles have put the kibosh on that.
I think Amanda is a much better choice than Lindsay. For soooo many reasons, but mainly because Amanda can actually act. There’s a much better chance of the movie being seen if Lindsay’s not in it.
Agree?

Amanda Seyfried and Justin Timberlake hit the red carpet last night for the UK premiere of their new movie, ‘In Time’.
Justin looks great – but Amanda on the other hand… I’m torn. Part of me likes it – but then part of me thinks it’s not a good red carpet look. Her butt cheeks are practically hanging out the back!
The 25-year-old blonde beauty showed some serious leg when she stepped out at the flick’s UK premiere in London on Monday wearing a tailored tuxedo jacket and matching shorts by H&M.
Last month, the 5-foot-4 blonde beauty explained to Us Weekly that she’s not naturally blessed with a slim and trim figure.
“I work my ass off! It’s not easy,” she said in September, adding that she exercises almost every day. “Seriously, when I’m not working, I’m working out. I’m not the kind of girl who stays skinny. Plus, I like to eat sweets! I like to eat a lot.”
To keep things interesting, Seyfried sweats it out in several different ways. “In New York, you can do anything. I go boxing regularly with my friend Andrew. I do Barry’s Boot Camp religiously when I’m in New York and I’m going to start going in LA now too,” she said. “Plus, I have my trainer Harley [Pasternak] in LA.”
I’ll give her this, her legs look amazing.
What do you think - what’s your opinion on Amanda’s outfit?

Olivia Wilde plays Justin Timberlake’s mom in the new sci-fi movie ‘In Time’.
She looked absolutely stunning at last night’s premiere in Los Angeles. The 27-year-old actress looked great in a floor length black gown, with a slit in the front and an almost backless back.
Co-star Amanda Seyfried, who plays Justin’s love interest in the movie looked beautiful in a purple and white dress.
Justin stars as Will Salas in the movie, which is set in a world where the ageing gene has been halted at the age of 25.
The rich then buy and trade in time, so that they stay forever young, while the poor die out.
Olivia and Justin’s characters are at the bottom of the economic ladder, and therefore have to fight against the clock.
But when Will is gifted 100 years of time by an ‘old’ man, he is forced to go on the run from a type of FBI organisation called ‘Timekeepers’ and ends up taking Amanda’s character hostage.
Justin has been largely concentrating on his burgeoning movie career this year, recently appearing in Bad Teacher and Friends with Benefits.
‘When I read the script, for two or three days, I couldn’t stop thinking about the themes – that one being one of them – but also our obsession with looking young forever,’ Justin recently told Pop Sugar about his decision to star in the film.
‘ I just saw this character as an everyday man who gets pushed too far and decides to fight back.
‘And then you keep reading and it’s like, “Oh, yeah, shooting guns and car chases and flipping cars around and kicking a*s and kissing Amanda.” You’re kind of like, “Yeah, OK. I’m in.”‘
He also said that he gets as much out of movie making as making music.
‘I actually weirdly enough find acting [and] working on movies to be a way more personal experience than making music.
‘I think that, at least for me, you get an idea for a song and then you make it sort of as fantastical and sonically otherworldly as you can.’
Joining Justin on the carpet tonight were fellow cast members Mad Men star Vincent Kartheiser who plays Amanda’s father and a member of the elite in the film.

Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried star in the upcoming film, ‘In Time’ which has absolutely nothing to do with politics, so this cover of ‘W’ just confuses me. Am I missing something? Either way – they look hot. I absolutely love Amanda, even though about 50% of her movies SUCK. I LOVE Justin Timberlake, but think he should only act in ‘SNL’.
RELATED: Watch the trailer for Justin & Amanda’s new movie ‘In Time’
Here’s some from the interview, via Celebitchy:
On How The Acting Thing Started: In films, I didn’t crave the type of attention I had sort of stumbled into in my music career. And I do not audition well. I’m really not good at it. Early on, I did movies like Alpha Dog and Black Snake Moan because the directors didn’t ask me to audition.
On Planning His Every Career Move: It’s different now, but in the past I’ve had some accidents, for sure. I think I have to laugh about the fact that I grew up in public. All these weird stages in my teenage years are documented. Why did no one tell me how terrible some of those outfits were?
On Avoiding Typecasting: After The Social Network, I got two or three sociopaths pitched to me. I didn’t want to play that again. It’s the same for musicians-once you do a song that’s a big deal, you get pitched a similar song. But just like I didn’t want my second album to sound like my first album, I want all the characters I play to be distinct and different.
Justin and Amanda would make a great couple. According to reports, JT is getting ready to propose to on-again girlfriend Jessica Biel, but we shall see how much truth there is in that.
PS: When I first watched the trailer for ‘In Time’, I thought the movie looked awful. But I recently saw an extended trailer – and the second one looked much better than the first. Who knows, maybe it won’t suck?

Justin Timberlake put on a free concert at the Southern Hospitality barbecue restaurant last night after tweeting an invitation earliery in the day. Southern Hospitality is actually Justin’s own restaurant…. what a great way to get a spike in business! What better way to market your restaurant than to perform a free show there!?
The bar and restaurant was filled to capacity by 9 p.m. for the 11 p.m. show, and fans packed the streets outside. New York’s finest were on hand to monitor the crowd.
Timberlake, 30, took the stage with the rock/hip-hop band FreeSol to perform a few new songs, including a rap ballad called “Don’t Give It Away.” He also treated fans to a soulful a capella performance of “What Goes Around … Comes Around” and finished with another new song, whose chorus was “Your body’s like a fast car/I’ve got the keys.”
The guests included some famous fans, including Kim Kardashian, her sister Kourtney and husband Kris Humphries, and Timberlake’s “beautiful” In Time costar Amanda Seyfried.
Sad you missed the show? You’re in luck – if you can get to New York’s Irving Plaza on time. The singer will take the stage for another free concert with FreeSol, whose album is out on JT’s Tennman Records label, on Thursday, he Tweeted more than a week ago.
Following Wednesday’s 45-minute performance, Timberlake reminded fans about the pre-planned show, asking, “Are y’all coming?”
I’m so jealous! How cool would an impromptu Justin Timberlake concert be?

The amount of talent in this movie is impressive. Justin Timberlake – here in his second movie lead – this time in a serious role? Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Vincent Kartheiser, Alex Pettyfer, Olivia Wilde and Matthew Bomer. That’s some cast, no?
What I don’t get – is this movie looks like a joke! The premise is ridiculous – and the trailer does a horrible job of making the movie look interesting. I found myself laughing – saying “you’re kidding – right?” How stupid!
And why on earth would they have given the lead to Justin Timberlake over the other men in this movie. I should have gone to Alex Pettyfer – or Matthew Bomer. Timberlake? Really? I expect him to break out in song – or make me laugh. I’m not sure I’m ready to see him in a serious role.
Is this a case of a bad trailer – or a bad movie?
