Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears to work together again?

Fourteen years after their breakup, Justin Timberlake is ready to work with his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears on a collaboration.

In a recent interview, Timberlake said that he would “absolutely” work on something musical with Spears. This is music to the ears of anyone who was hoping to see them get back together in any capacity. They were one of the couples that I’d hoped would last longer, but things happened.

Prior to Timberlake’s comments, Spears was asked her opinion on whom she would like to record a duet. She told the reporter, “Justin Timberlake is very good.”

When the news got back to Timberlake, he replied, “She did? Sure! Absolutely, absolutely.”

Prior to the reporter informing him of the news of Spears’ comment, he talked of his son Silas and how fatherhood has kept him out of the loop. He said, “I have a 17 month old so I don’t get the headline news. I apologize for not being in the know.”

To the delight of many fans, he added, “I’m accessible, give us a call!”

Lance Bass added of the collaboration, “I would love to see that happen, of course. I think everyone in the world wants to see them together again in any capacity. It’s like everyone’s childhood dream.”

Following their highly publicized breakup in 2002, Timberlake released his song “Cry Me A River” which featured a Britney Spears lookalike.

If they release a duet or collaborate together – is this something that you’d want to see? Are you looking forward to seeing them together again even if it’s in a professional capacity? Should Jessica Biel be worried that they may work together? Hit the comments below and let us know your thoughts!
