Not in my opinion. YUM.
I know how everyone kind of circles back to the idea of Idris Elba being James Bond- but nothing’s really come of it. It’s always a question when the media is interviewing the actor, well, maybe the second question after “what’s it like dating Naomi Campbell.” Anyhow, the dude isn’t sure whether he’s cut out to play everybody’s favorite secret agent….because he’s too old?
Despite a passionate fan-led campaign to make him the next James Bond, Elba, 43, told Good Morning America‘s Michael Strahan Thursday that it’s the “wildest rumor in the world.”
“If I’m really honest, man, I think I’m too old for that,” he said with a laugh. “I can’t be running around in cars and ladies and martinis – who wants to do that? It sounds terrible!”
Again, I don’t buy it. But I think the guy’s just trying to be gracious. FYI, Roger Moore is the oldest actor to play James Bond in 1973 at age 45. YOU STILL GOT A COUPLE YEARS, IDRIS!
