Mariah Carey doesn’t quite understand all the fuss inside of her ex Nick Cannon‘s rap…and honestly, I feel like it makes him look pretty desperate.

Nick released a song Thursday which is pretty bad. It’s called “Divorce Papers” and seems like one of the many ways he’s trying to stay relevant. In the rap, Nick says  “And now I can’t see my kids ’cause the government sucks,” and “It’s f***** up that the time you spend with your own kids is called visitation.”

Apparently, sources close to both say that Mariah and Nick have gotten along extremely well, especially when they’ve been dealing with child custody. They say Mariah has never denied Nick access to the twins and Nick has always been able to see them when he wanted. So…guess songs aren’t REAL, guys.

As for why Nick has not signed the divorce papers for nearly 2 years, TMZ believes that believes that Nick is being manipulated by his lawyers, because of how beef-less their relationship is.  Hey, I have an idea? PROBABLY BECAUSE NICK CANNON IS NOBODY AND WANTS TO PROLONG THIS DEBACLE FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.

One of the other lyrics is “It’s been 2 years and I’m the one that’s been waiting.” It appears he’s talking about getting divorced, but TMZ says Mariah and her lawyer have been pressing Nick to sign the docs for months and months and HE’S the one stalling.

At the end of his rap, Nick says, “Man, f*** it. Let’s sign the papers.” We’ll see if that actually happens.
