Cause you’re gonna lose some serious money (if your conscience isn’t already gone?)
Dos Equis is searching to replace their ââ¬ÅMost Interesting Man in the World,ââ¬Â and while Benicio Del Toro popped in to fill in the void, Heineken is not into his defense of BFF Johnny Depp.
On Tuesday, Heineken sponsored a promotional event hosted by Benicio Del Toro, who took the opportunity to defend his ââ¬ÅFear and Loathing in Las Vegasââ¬Â co-star Johnny Depp against domestic abuse charges. Del Toro argued that Amber Heard, Deppââ¬â¢s wife, seemed ââ¬Åmanipulativeââ¬Â and ââ¬Åtwisted.ââ¬Â
Apparently that wasnââ¬â¢t the kind of press that Heineken had in mind. After the Daily News story ran, a staffer for the Edelman public relations firm, which represents Heineken, called and emailed, asking that we disassociate their client from that damning Del Toro article.
ââ¬ÅCan you please remove the mention of the Heineken event in the quote?ââ¬Â read the request from Edelman P.R. ââ¬ÅThat was not the intent of the press day and would appreciate if you could do so.ââ¬Â

Good on you, Heineken, for not taking s*it from nobody!
