Azealia Banks– or as I like to call her, the hate-spewing banshee of the social media sphere- has been suspended from Twitter following a series of racially charged tweets attacking singer and former One Direction star Zayn Malik.
After Banks accused Malik of copying a music video of hers for his single “Like I Would,” Malik tweeted “My @’s too good for you,” a reference to the fact that Banks had not directed the accusation at his account for him to see, just kinda, was blowing off steam.
In response, Banks did the classy thing and verbally assaulted Malik with a number of homophobic and racial slurs. Fans immediately came to his aid, so instead of apologizing, Azealia switched targets to a 14-year-old Disney star named Skai Jackson after she said Banks “needs to simmer down a little”. The ladylike conduct just doesn’t end, does it!
She’s endorsed Trump’s campaign, feuded with Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea and Lilly Allen, and denied Cosby accusations. So, at this point, Twitter stepped and and cut her off from their social media app, which is best for errrybody.
A spokesperson for Twitter said that the company does not comment on individual accounts. Too bad, I bet there’s a party happening over there. LOL
