Katy Perry is Met-intimidated? I don’t believe it.
Girl’s all about theme fashion, so the idea that she’s intimidated by The Met Gala seems a little cray. But according to People, that’s the truth: she finds the whole process a bit restricting.
ââ¬ÅFor me, Met Gala, itââ¬â¢s great, itââ¬â¢s so much fun, itââ¬â¢s the best party, but youââ¬â¢re a little bit beholden to designers you know,ââ¬Â she told PeopleStyle Sunday at the launch of her Katy Kat collection with CoverGirl. ââ¬ÅWhen I create my own costumes for tour, itââ¬â¢s like whatever the fââ¬âk I want to do. Itââ¬â¢s just like larger than life. Itââ¬â¢s like: Can it move, can it smell, can it ââ¬â blah, blah, blah, blah?ââ¬Â
This yearââ¬â¢s theme is pretty cool:àââ¬ËManus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technologyââ¬â¢ and along with feeling intimidated, she also feels in competition with couture risk-taker and fellow power pop diva, Lady Gaga.
ââ¬ÅI know a couple of people are coming like lit up and stuff like that, and Iââ¬â¢m like, ââ¬ËI did that in 2010, youââ¬â¢re late!,’ââ¬Â she quipped. ââ¬ÅIââ¬â¢m going to do something, but Iââ¬â¢m sure like Gaga is going to arrive on drone, and Iââ¬â¢ll just be like, ââ¬ËGrrr! Again! Sââ¬â!.’ââ¬Â
LOL, I hope she does. But I’m also pretty sure she’ll be okay as long as she doesn’t run into John Mayer (shudder). It’s supposed to be FUN, Katy!
