Some dude gets shot is, like most things, not Chris Brown‘s problem.
The musician is striking back at a guy who got shot at one of his concerts, saying it’s not his fault or his responsibility. Which sounds like the sensitive, conscientious Chris Brown we know and love.
Over a year ago, a dude named Paul Briley was shot during a Chris Brown concert in San Jose. He claims Brown is responsible because he attracts violence and should have maintained better security. As ammunition, Briley points to the fact that there have been 2 shootings during Brown’s performances where people have been seriously hurt (he’s talking about an incident at 1 OAK where Suge Knight and to other people were shot).
Brown is asking the judge to toss the lawsuit, as his argument is that it’s the club’s responsibility to protect patrons, and that he has nothing to do with it. Chris also says it’s unfair to say there have been 2 shootings at his concerts, because he was just HOSTING at 1 OAK. (Ah, the fine print!)
Who do YOU think is at fault for the shooting?
