Pamela Anderson Unveils Vegetarian Icons Postage Sheet at The Hollywood Post Office

Pamela Anderson has a beauty secret she’d like to share.

According to People, the actress dyes her own hair and has been for more than 25 years. Now I’m not sure if I entirely believe this, especially the part about not knowing if she has greys. But you can read on and decide for yourself…

“I dye my hair myself! I couldn’t imagine sitting in a hair salon for hours,” says Anderson, revealing that her mother taught her how when she was “about 20 years old” after an experiment with Sun-In resulted in the two having to correct a transformation “gone wrong.”

“Sometimes we still do it together,” says Anderson.

The star, who opts for different boxes of hair color, like Garnier, says, “Normally, I’m just walking around at home with a little makeup on from the night before, coloring my hair and making pancakes for my boys.”

As for whether the 48-year-old platinum beauty has any grays, she admits she “doesn’t know”— and she’s not about to stop dyeing it to find out. “That’s what’s so funny.”

Unless you obsessively dye your hair before the roots grow out, it’s LIKELY you’d know if you had greys, Pamela. Now, I like the “down home” nature to her beauty regime (and you KNOW I respect her outspoken anti-cruelty platform) but honestly, some of her dye jobs probably happen in salons, especially when she does a blonde with brown roots.

Obvi, she looks great…but still. I don’t think 100% of this is true. Do you?

Even as a natural blonde, aging acts like a toner on the blonde and makes the blonde get darker, naturally.

It’s unlikely that her colour is that even without a trip to the hair salon. I mean, she could be doing it herself. But the colour looks even – it’s the same colour from root to tip. She would have to pour an entire bottle on herself once a week to have the same uniform shade of (very light) blonde from her roots down to the tips.

I guess this is what they mean by bottle blonde.
