I love it.
At a LA press conference for the film, Channing Tatum admitted he was “really intimidated” the first day of filming The Hateful Eight. Which makes sense, as he’s Channing Tatum and the Quentin Tarantino film is like, full of heavy hitting actors who don’t usually take their shirts off in their movies.
“I think on the first day, I must have looked so geeked out because the very first shot was this crazy 360 [degree pan],” Tatum explained. “And I’m just like wide-eyed trying to figure out what not to screw up.”
“All these guys work together a lot, and it is a unique experience to be in a Quentin movie, I can promise you,” he continued.
Luckily, costar and Tarantino-veteran Roth was there to offer some encouraging words to the Magic Mike star on Day One.
“And Tim goes, ‘Yep. Yep. You’re about to be in a Quentin Tarantino film. Pull it together, Channing,’ ” Tatum continued. “I looked so scared.”
He probably did look hilariously scared….and should be. The film also stars Kurt Russell and Jennifer Jason Leigh, but NO PRESSURE CHANNING TATUM.
