Amy Schumer is a famous comedienne, but don’t think for a moment that she finds it fun. She took the stage at a show called Act in Paris, hosted by Darren Aronofsky, Keri Russell and Michael Brune. She told guests that she is a “newly famous” person, but “it turns out to be not fun.”
On being photographed by paparazzi while on the beach and seeing the resulting images, Schumer joked: “I didn’t even recognize myself. I was like, ‘Oh, Alfred Hitchcock is alive and enjoys watersports.’”
The “Trainwreck” star also reflected on stressing over her fans’ complaints that a recent stand-up show was too short after watching the intense new movie “Beasts of No Nation,” set in Africa.
“Little kids are being raped and I’m, like, seriously complaining because people thought I didn’t do enough time,” Amy said. “My point is, my problems are [bleeping] stupid, but still you feel bad about your own s - - t.”
Maybe she just wasn’t as prepared as she thought she would be as a newly famous person?
