Gwyneth Paltrow thinks she broke the internet with 'conscious uncoupling'

I’m going to say something really nice about Gwyneth Paltrow before I say something mean. I love this dress that she’s wearing in the above picture. It looks gorgeous and so elegant and feminine.

Now, onto the mean portion of my rant. Yes, Gwyneth caused a bit of a fuss when her online store GOOP labeled her divorce from Chris Martin as “conscious uncoupling”, but she actually thinks that she broke the internet.

In a new interview on Tuesday, Katie Couric talked to Gwyneth about the fuss over her divorce announcement. She said, “Even if you look back at the time my husband and I were separating and the philosophy of ‘conscious uncoupling,’ we broke the f**king internet. When you look back, you think, ‘This is kind of a good thing to talk about. What if you break up in a way you could remain a family even though you’re not a couple?'”

She also said that GOOP learned a lot from how it handled her separation from the Coldplay singer. She said, “We did it in an inelegant way and we didn’t give it enough content at the time. I’m really glad that happened because maybe it brings up there was a better way to do that.”

Of course, she thinks that the media attention was still good for her brand. She added, “In a media company,, it’s good when people are talking about your content. We believe in positivity and promoting.”

Is it a bold statement that she thinks she broke the internet?
