Nicole Kidman has revealed that she puts her family before work and says that she won’t go where she can’t take her husband and kids with her. She’s currently performing as scientist Rosalind Franklin in the play “Photograph 51” at the Noel Coward Theatre.
She said that she would’ve turned down the opportunity if her family couldn’t be there with her. She said, “As you get older, you’re aware that time is precious. That’s why doing something like the play is a big ask, I’m only going to do it if we can all go.”
She dedicated the role to the memory of her father, a renowned biochemist who died in 2014. Of that, she said, “It’s bittersweet for me in that regard. I would say, now, this is for my dad.”
With regard to the trip, she said it was one that her family enjoys taking. She said, “The kids love that. They have quite a few stamps in their passports.”
Also mom to Connor, 20, and Isabella, 23, her children with ex-husband Tom Cruise, the Australian actress is in the city that ‘Bella’ now calls home, having wed her British beau Max Parker at a secret ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel in London last month (neither Cruise nor Kidman were present).
“London has been good to me and I feel very connected to it,” Kidman says.
It’s interesting that she was in London, but still didn’t go to her daughter’s wedding. What do you think?
