I definitely think Chrissy Teigen CAN at times be funny, I’m just not sure I think these are one of those times…
On Friday the supermodel was forced to tweet an explanation about her comments surrounding her husband, John Legend, and ââ¬Åhot nannies,” comment at NY Fashion week, which if I may remind you, basically said her husband can have ââ¬ÅNo hot nannies, drivers, or maidsââ¬Âàand that “she does want to have kids one day, so itââ¬â¢s something that she has to think about. But the rule is no hot nannies. I trust John, but you never know with these men.ââ¬Â
Eeek. Obvi she got a lot of flack. She responded:
ââ¬ÅJust like low carb diet of licking chips, my ââ¬Ëno hot nanniesââ¬â¢ comment was a joke, clearly lost upon many. what is life. why must i type this,ââ¬Â she wrote. ââ¬ÅI don’t just go into random rants about hot nannies. The post asked, I jokingly answered. It isn’t that fââ¬âking deep.ââ¬Â
This came just days after Teigen quipped to reporters ââ¬â including Us Weekly ââ¬â àthat she was keeping the ââ¬ÅAll of Meââ¬Â singer, 36, away from any sexy women in the service industry.
Her comments were made just months after Affleck-gate and just before we all collectively groan because it feels like this kind of thing just reinforces male-female stereotypes. Chrissy went on to joke:
ââ¬ÅThese days, it doesnââ¬â¢t really matter what you look like ââ¬â sometimes cabin fever just strikes and men do the do,ââ¬Â Teigen said, joking that she has to keep a close watch on her own ââ¬Åcuteââ¬Â female assistant. ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s too late for me, though, because I have a hot assistant.ââ¬Â
