Aaron Sorkin does.
Cate Blanchett is attached to star in an authorized biopic of Hollywood legend Lucille Ball that Sorkin is set to write. I know, really chill, low-stakes movie. NOT.
The film will tackle Ball’s 20-year marriage to Desi Arnaz, their show and kids, and her second marriage to Gary Morton. Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz Jr. will produce, so it might be a real circus of kids and feelings and you know, all THAT kind of thing.
Blanchett won the first of two Academy Awards for playing another Hollywood icon, Katharine Hepburn, in Martin Scorsese‘s “The Aviator,” so she’s no stranger to taking on large roles with lots of history. What do you think she’ll do with the role?
Also, do you think someone else would have been a better fit?
