John Mayer gets really up in arms when it comes to…watches.
Your favorite kinda irrelevant musician (except when it comes to dating Katy Perry) lost a lawsuit in which he claimed he was defrauded by a watch dealer. TMZ reports:
TMZ has obtained a joint statement between Mayer and Bob Maron, who sold the singer more than $600,000 worth of Rolex watches back in 2007. Mayer — a big-time watch collector — claimed the watches had counterfeit parts and Maron knew it.
Now we’ve learned Mayer has dismissed his lawsuit and no money or property changed hands. What’s more, their joint statement says, “Two years of research restored John Mayer’s belief that Bob Maron is an expert on Rolex watches, and confirmed that Bob Maron never sold him a counterfeit watch.”
Maron’s lawyer, Eric George, said early on he’d beat Mayer in court, but the dismissal is pretty much the same as a jury victory for Maron.
BTW … Maron is best buds with Charlie Sheen and even had a co-executive producer title on “Anger Management.”
