Angelina Jolie, who was in Las Vegas attending CinemaCon, hit up ‘the world’s largest gift shop,’ with five of her kids on Tuesday. ÃÂ US Weekly spoke with Bonanza Gifts’ manager, Angie Hurt, about the visit.
“Pax bought a Swearing Finger,” Hurt revealed. “Itââ¬â¢s phonic operated, and it will flip off and it swears. Itââ¬â¢s really foul! A lot of F-bombs. [Jolie] kind of raised an eyebrow [to Paxââ¬â¢s swearing finger], but she didnââ¬â¢t say anything to him. I think she just lets them get what they want.”
“Sheââ¬â¢s just regular and normal,” Hurt observed. “I had customers coming up saying ââ¬ËOh my God I just walked into Angelina Jolie’s family, and everybody was so nice!ââ¬â¢”
Jolie was in town to promote and preview Unbroken,ÃÂ the WWII drama about the life of Louis Zamperini, due out this Christmas. ÃÂ Apparently Universal Studios bought the rights to Zamperini’s story back in 1957, but it only became reality after the novel by Laura HillenbrandÃÂ became a bestseller.
I’m excited for this movie and absolutely adored the book. ÃÂ It’s such an incredible and inspiring story. ÃÂ I think Jolie will do a great job with this film. ÃÂ She seems to be so invested in it and has formed such a close bond with Zamperini through the process. ÃÂ She said of the film:
ââ¬ÅI wanted to make this film because in the end, its message is one we all need now more than ever,ââ¬Â Jolie said. ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s the journey of a man finding his way through the darkness and into the light. It is about an imperfect person ââ¬â one who we and our children can relate to.ââ¬Â
