This story just gets sadder and sadder!
‘Bachelor’ star Gia Allemand was apparently on the phone with her mom when she hung herself, according to new reports. The 29-year-old committed suicide last week in her New Orleans home after a fight with her boyfriend hours before.
According to NYDN, Gia hung herself with a vacuum cleaner cord that she had tied to the handrail on the second floor.
According to TMZ, Gia’s mother Donna Micheletti told police she was on the phone with her daughter when the phone “had gone silent.” Afterwards, she tried “in vain” to reach her daughter for ten minutes, but was unable to communicate with her. Shortly after, her boyfriend, NBA star Ryan Anderson returned home to check on her, but found her body and called 911. Gia “had been without oxygen for around 30 to 40 minutes.”
TMZ is reporting that Gia had accused Ryan of being unfaithful on the day that she died. The two were at lunch, and according to sources, on their way home from lunch, Anderson told Allemand, “I don’t love you anymore.”
Gia left a suicide note, leaving everything to her mother.
How sad. I can’t imagine the pain she must have been in – to kill herself while on the phone with her mom. Why would anyone want to leave their mom with something like that?
