Alex Band, 32, who is lead singer of the band “The Calling” was abducted over the weekend, beaten badly, and then dumped on train tracks in Lapeer, MI.
Here’s what happened. Alex was in Lapeer, MI, for a music festival with his band when he decided to go to a walk from his hotel to a nearby mini mart around 4am Sunday morning.
During his walk, a van pulled up next to him, and the people inside the van grabbed the singer off the street, and then beat him severely. After they were done with him, they dumped him on some nearby train tracks.
According to TMZ, another member of the band noticed Alex had gone missing the next morning, and got a group of people to search for him. The singer was discovered shortly after.
Alex survived the attack, but there’s no word on his current condition.
‘The Calling’ were big in 2001, when their hit “Wherever You Will Go” was released. They broke up soon after, but recently reunited.
