MTV followed Ke$ha around and filmed her for a new docuseries called “My Crazy Beautiful Life.” The show will air at 11:00PM on April 23. The network has released a new clip, showing the singer going down on a cannoli – and then spitting the dessert back into several people’s mouths.

The special shares the same name as Ke$ha’s book and promises an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at a pop star we’re supposed to believe is misunderstood. If this sounds familiar, it’s because every single pop act, from Beyonce (“Life Is But a Dream”) to Katy Perry (“Katy Perry the Movie: Part of Me”) to Justin Bieber (“Never Say Never”) has tried to tell us that we really don’t know them and then made some film or TV feature that confirms everything we already imagined (Beyonce’s obsessed with her image, Katy Perry is actually pretty nice, Justin Bieber is a boy). This is an old trick, hearkening back to Madonna’s 1991 “Truth or Die.”

See MTV’s preview clip above, in which Ke$ha gets cozy with a phallic dessert and proceeds to start a forced food fight that involves her yelling “I’m the boss” while shoving her chest onto the face of someone who does their best to smile. Not exactly solid work, but when you’re a pop star whose last album didn’t even reach the Top 5, perhaps there’s not much else to do.

She just GROSSES me out on so many levels. Will I watch her show? Of course. :)
