Nicole Sullivan bashes celebrities like Jessica Alba, saying “They all lie and say, ‘Oh, I lost the weight running after the kids or breastfeeding.’ It’s not true!”

Nicole Sullivan has a very hard time with other celebrity moms who lose their baby weight quickly. The 42-year-old actress, who’s starred in shows like MADtv and Cougar Town, says Hollywood moms like Jessica Alba are lying when they say they lost their weight by “breastfeeding and chasing after their kids.”

“I would flip through celeb magazines…and I just couldn’t get how these moms like Jessica Alba lost so much weight so quickly—and yet I couldn’t,” the actress tells Us Weekly in an exclusive interview at “The Real Women of Jenny Craig” event in NYC on Jan. 23. “They all lie and say, ‘Oh, I lost the weight running after the kids or breastfeeding.’ It’s not true!”

“I felt broken. I felt like an outsider in my own community,” she continues of her postpartum experience after giving birth to her son, Dashel, now 5. “There just are not a lot of overweight people in Hollywood. I felt like the jerk who couldn’t figure it out.”

The actress finally figured it out, she claims, when she signed on with Jenny Craig as its brand ambassador. “I had tried every other diet in the world and decided to give Jenny Craig a try. The first week, I lost five pounds and then lost an average of two pounds a week for 16 weeks. I lost 35 pounds total. It changed my life.”

Sullivan has since given birth to another son, Beckett, now 3. “When I look back to when I had my first son, I was unhappy. I couldn’t understand why the weight wasn’t just falling off. I wish I could have that time back. With my second son, I enjoyed the whole process of him being an infant more because I wasn’t mad at myself. When you are mad at yourself, you are mad at everybody. That’s the problem…. I may not look like [Alba], but at least I can keep up with other actresses now. I feel really good about myself.

I can totally appreciate her sentiment here, but I have to say she’s coming off a bit bitter, don’t you think? Weight is not easy for everyone to lose (like me! It’s totally easy to put it on!), so if you’re one of those people who have a hard time shedding the weight, throwing your fellow celebrity moms under the bus doesn’t really make you look good. It’s great that Jenny Craig works for her, but she should have just stuck to that – and left the other moms out of it.

I always struggled with my weight but for me it’s different with the baby weight. My baby is six months old and I lost all the baby weight plus 6 pounds. I am breastfeeding and eat A LOT and don’t do any sports. I know, it’s not healthy to lose so much weigth while breastfeeding, but I don’t know what to do. I am always hungry and always eating. Really, everyone is different.

Just because she couldn’t figure it out doesn’t mean that everyone else is lying.

Jessica Alba even said that she worked out and watched what she ate after her pregnancies, so she did WORK to lose her weight. This chick sounds very bitter. Bitter and jealous.

It has a lot to do with age. It’s a lot easier to lose the weight quickly when you’re in your 20’s than when you’re in your late 30’s and early 40’s. The older you get the harder it gets.

I know a lot of women who needed treatment because they were so thin after giving birth… Losing wait was a problem – they lost too much. Without diets. without workouts. Just being moms.

Stupid cunt.
