Ryan Seacrest, 38, and Julianne Hough, 24, have been dating for over two years now. While I find this age difference a bit on the creepy side (so sue me), I do like the fact that they’re still together, and talking mawwidge!

While on the red carpet, Ryan gushed about Julianne’s dress, and how beautiful she looked. They seem totally in love, and it’s pretty stinking cute. One thing I like about Julianne – is she’s very low-key. She usually attends events that Ryan is hosting, but she just stands off in the wings, and lets him shine. She doesn’t hog the limelight at all, even though she’s an actress – and famous in her own right. Bottom line – age difference or not, I think they’re pretty cute!

“She’s so beautiful…stunning,” the American Idol host said about his girlfriend of two years, Julianne Hough, on Chelsea Lately tonight when Handler flashed a pic of the glamorous duo at the Golden Globes earlier this month.

Agreeing with Handler’s assessment of Hough as a “great girl,” Seacrest called her “phenomenal.”

“She’s the best part of every day,” he said—and, since Seacrest never sleeps, that’s a long day to be the highlight of!

Asked if he wants to get married and have a family, the 38-year-old multihyphenate said, “We both do,” but that the 25-year-old [sic] Hough—not Handler—would be the first one to know when that’s about to happen.

They touched briefly on American Idol, too, Seacrest diplomatically saying that Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj have “come to work and disagreed about a thing or two, here or there, but now, today, they’re fine.”

“It just sort of depends,” he added, a master of ceremonies, as always.

I think it’s funny that they just touched briefly on American Idol. In case you haven’t heard, American Idol is tanking in the ratings.  Last week’s premiere was it’s lowest rated season premiere ever.

Fox’s “American Idol” returned Wednesday night to its lowest-rated and least-watched regular season premiere telecast ever (the first season aired during the summer and generally isn’t counted). “Idol” delivered 17.9 million viewers and a 6.0 adults 18-49 demo rating.

That’s down 19 percent from last year’s opener, which was the previous lowest-ever record-holder.

I’m so over American Idol. They should pull the plug and put Ryan on another show. He’s actually a really good host. Enjoyable to watch, not annoying. What should he do next??
