Carly Rose Sonenclar‘s family is REAL PISSED at LeAnn Rimes for trashing Carly Rose’s X Factor performance on Wednesday night.

After Rimes’ forgettable performance of her own song (and speculation that the singer/media diva was DRUNK), sources connected with the Sonenclar family tell TMZ that Carly Rose’s mother is livid that Rimes would dare say the 13-year-old was “nervous and had trouble hitting the right notes” when she sang “How Do I Live.”

Hey, I would be, too! That’s what being a mom is all about.  Anyhoo…

Rimes denies that she was drunk and says that if things were awkward, it was only because, “I was trying to help this 13-year-old girl who was having some trouble with the song.”  Rimes later claimed she never gave that quote, even though her rep specifically gave the media that quote and told outlets that it could be used.

Sounds fishy, folks.  And when push came to shove, I think Carly Rose really did well. She’s 13- and she still outsang LeAnn!
