Jessica Chastain was spotted yesterday on the New York City set of her new movie, ‘The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby’. (What do you think of her new haircut? I love it short!)

The actress will be in New York for a couple months during filming, and sources says she is desperate for a personal life. The busy star spent most of 2011 travelling the world promoting her films ‘The Help’, ‘Coriolanus’ and the ‘The Tree of Life’.

She tells The Sunday Times Style magazine, “I’m happy and fulfilled. I do wish I had more time for a personal life, and I’m going to try to create that in New York. I’m doing a film there and then the play, so I’ll be in one place for a long time.”

However, Chastain refuses to spend her evenings with Hollywood hunks, adding, “I do have a rule not to date actors, and because of that, hopefully I can make work be the focus (of public interest), instead of my private life.”
