I say it’s ABOUT TIME.

The heavily-bangled Johnny Depp (shown above) was formally adopted by the Comanche Indian tribe last week, and I couldn’t be happier.  Based on his proactivity in re-imagining the role of “Tonto” in the new Lone Ranger flick,  the New Mexico-based Comanche nation decided to make it official, in a ceremony at the home of fellow Comanche and Americans for Indian Opportunity prez, LaDonna Harris.  Depp gave the Comanche crew in attendance gifts, as per Comanche tradition.  In case you’ve forgotten or are not my Dad,  the Comanches are the group of Indians to which Depp’s Tonto belongs.

I’m waiting for my invitation,  LaDonna.  I love Indians, specifically their footwear.
