Gisele Bundchen calls sunscreen “poison”

Not the most intelligent statement she’s ever made. In fact, she’s full of zingers these days. Three months after giving birth to her son Benjamin in December 2009, she told Vogue “I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals.”  While on her pedestal – she also proclaimed that breastfeeding should be a “worldwide law”. “It’s the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard,” Bethenny Frankel, who had daughter Bryn six months after Bundchen gave birth, snapped to “Breastfeeding is one of the most rewarding experiences, but it isn’t for everyone.”

Don’t hate her because she’s beautiful. Rather, people attack Gisele Bundchen, 30, for the controversial things she says.

“I cannot put this poison on my skin,” Bundchen — who has appeared in ad campaigns for Nivea Sun products — said at the launch of her own organic skin care range, according to the UK’s Daily Mail. “I do not use anything synthetic.”

Instead, the leggy beauty says she protects herself from sun damage by only exposing herself to rays before 8 A.M.

However, cancer experts have been quick to question Bundchen’s expertise on the matter.

“Sunscreen prevents damage to the skin and is of fundamental importance for the prevention of cancer,” said Dolival Loao, head of dermatology at Brazil’s National Cancer Institute. “This is not any poison, when a public person makes a statement like this, it creates confusion.”

Poison!? Seriously? Tell that to all the people suffering from melanoma? How is Gisele’s advice any greater than every other dermatologist in America. Is she nuts? Maybe the sun has gone to hear head.

PS: I like how she claims she only goes out in the sun before 8:00AM. Really. So explain all the thousands of paparazzi pictures of her in a bikini soaking up the sun.

I’ve said it before – SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE Gizzz – You are a model – they are seen and NOT heard. You are a role model to girls – please keep your stupid comments to yourself. Now girls will NOT use sunscreen and get cancer – what’s worse – poison or cancer????

As weird as it is coming from a supermodel, there is truth to her statement. Many of the most common ingredients used in sunscreens are poison. Even some of that “natural” solutions (titanium dioxide, for example) are known carcinogens. Some people say they’re only poison if they get into your bloodstream but there is most certainly a chance of that after they’ve been absorbed into your skin.

Does that mean you just bake in the sun? Of course not. There are options, even though they may be harder to find. Zinc oxide is pretty much agreed to be a safe sunscreen ingredient.

They say 1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will develop some type of cancer in their lifetime and we keep pretending we have no idea why. It would be nice if Gisele would have explained herself a bit better. Regardless, she’s on to something.

The first sneaker of Air Max, Air Max 1, was designed by Tinker Hatfield and the current CEO of Nike, Mark Parker in 1987, which brought the epoch-making visible air cushion and greatly improved its performance of cushioning and stability.
For now, Air Max 1 is not only simple jogging shoes, but also a line of cultural shoes. It is very popular among young people because of its different streamline design, a bit vintage appearance and light design. Especially in European area, Air Max 1 has become a mark of fashion and culture. It is even appear in various X-Games.
Although Air Max 1 is the timeless classic, there is no gainsaying that its cushion still is a little bit out of fashion in the eyes of someone who pursue comfort. So, NIKE sportswear introduced some new products of Air Max sneaker on the base of Air Max 1. They are mainly Air Max 95, Air Max 97, Air Max180, Air Max 90, Air Max Powerwall etc. Among them, I must mention Air Max 90, which can be regarded as the real returning of its culture shoes, because Air Max 90 and Air Max 1 have something similar in appearance. At he same time, the former enlarge and thicken the air cushion, widen the sole, which has better protective effect.
We can say that Air Max 1 and Air Max 90 just like father and son!
