    Yes, Kristen really did chop off and die her locks black for her JOAN JETT role in THE RUNAWAYS. Such a dedicated actress to go all out like that! She is done filming NEW MOON. She will be wearing a fitted wig once she resumes her role as BELLA in the movie ECLIPSE. Which will begin filming in the later part of August.

    Many wannabes out there whom wish to look like or impersonate our great fame rockers.
    I grew in the 70s and 80s generation and shes no Joan Jett. I dont think that she can match Joans voice with her idolized songs Crimson and Clover and of course I Love Rock and Roll.
    Kudos for the try there may be a place to fit this woman in somewhere but mot as Joan Jett

    I think Kristen is very talented and beautiful. I love her new look. What a sacrafice for a movie role, this shows how dedicated she is. She is also versatile as an actor. She isn\’t Joan Jett, she is only portraying her. I\’m sure she will do an awesome job. I don\’t get why someone always has to post negative comments, no matter whom it\’s about. I love Kristens personality, her look and her down to earth attitude. I actually look forward to seeing this movie. I too was a child of the early 80\’s and loved Joan Jett and still do. I don\’t have a problem with KS playing her in a movie. After all, it\’s all entertainment. If you don\’t like it, don\’t watch it..plain and simple!

    I was so excited when I heard this was being made. Now..I’m not. Kristen just doesn’t appeal to me, everytime she speaks, I get upset because she just lacks enthusiasm. Joan is full of energy and she’s a rock star! Why Kristen Stewart? Why!! And Dakota Fanning’s playing Cherie, the lead singer of the Runaways. -sigh- They better blow me away with this performance

    I think it’s great with Kristen. Not every person is like Meghan fox or some of the other actresses. Really Angelina Jolie wasn’t even all that big until the whole Triangle with Brad and Jenn came out. Jenn being America’s girl really made the three of them rocket. Kristen just hasn’t gotten caught up in something that would really tabloid, media, then publicize her all over. Each actor/ actress acts differently. If Kristen would probably get changed out of Bella then people would probably say Bella isn’t the same and some of her characteristics and qualities are gone. You take the good and the bad. Different people, different changes. Go Kristen!!!! Can’t wait to see either film – “New Moon” and “The Runaways”.

    WOW I was excited about this movie then i lost some excitement hearing they went with Kristen Stewart now I am even less excited after seeing these pictures where she looks not a thing like Joan Jett but more like a crack-ho with a bottle of hair dye…This is such a joke I can’t imagine the original band members ok’ing this…hell seek out a copy of Edgeplay instead if ya want to know about Joan and The Runaways.
