AmEx sues rocker Courtney Love for unpaid bill
American Express Co wants Courtney Love to leave home without it.
The financial services firm sued the musician in Los Angeles on Wednesday, alleging she owes more than $350,000 in unpaid charges and other fees on her AmEx Gold card.
The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court, seeks $352,059.67 for the unpaid balance, damages, attorney’s fees and late charges, and says Love’s charging privileges were suspended after she “failed and refused” to make payments.
Love’s publicist said he had no immediate information on the suit, and had left a message with her attorney.
Love, the 44-year-old widow of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, is a litigation magnet. She was sued for libel in February by a fashion designer upset by comments Love had reportedly made about her on the micro-blogging Web site Twitter.
Last year, Love was sued for $1 million by an advisory firm seeking its share of proceeds from Love’s partial sale of Nirvana’s publishing catalog. The deal, covering such Nirvana tunes as “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and “Lithium,” was reportedly worth $19.5 million. Cobain killed himself in 1994.

I would like to make a correction to the article \"AmEx sues rocker Courtney Love for unpaid bill\" or rather the last line of the article which reads \"Cobain killed himself in 1994.\"
On April 8th 1994 the body of Kurt Cobain was found in his Seattle home of an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Since the shocking events of that day, the truth has surfaced amongst the lies. The so called suicide was not a suicide at all, but in fact a calculated murder. And the main suspect…Kurt\’s widow Courtney Love. The one person who stood to gain the most out of Kurt\’s death.
This is on ongoing investigation headed by Tom Grant p.i. A retired Police Detective, A man with years of experience behind him. The aim now as has always been, is to get the case reopened, so that Justice my finally be served.Now and over the coming months Tom Grant will finance and release video segments Free for the public on Youtube explaining the journey he has undertaken. The people that tried to stand in his way…and thw truth. When Seattle Police carried out their initial investigation back in 1994 the were quick to jump to the conclusion that Kurt Cobain had Committed suicide. Especially as Courtney Love was there each step of the way to insist that Kurt Was suicidal. In fact she appears in some of the crime scene photos wearing Kurt\’s brown corduroy coat. A coat which was actually part of the crime scene and part of the evidence. Love has been linked to one of the detectives in the Seattle Police Department. Detective Antonio Terry. A Detective that told her to destroy evidence pertaining to the case and the man who Love contacted about Kurt\’s dealer. However Detective Terry died himself whilst off duty On June 4th, 1994 slain in a set of bewildering circumstances. Who knows how far this scandal and corruption has spread through the ranks of Seattle\’s finest? In the end only Courtney love can say how many bodies really fell for her to make it to the top. She\’s spent 15 years running, trading her flannel shirts and ripped jeans for designer dresses and styles. the question is though, how long can Ms. Love run from the truth? Only time will tell.
