A source close the family of John Travolta and Kelly Preston tells PEOPLE that the autopsy on their 16-year-old son Jett revealed his death was caused by a “seizure disorder.”

I cannot imagine what it would be like to lose a child. i know that if i lost one of my three sons i would fall apart, want to die myself. things will never be the same again for the travoltas’ i will keep them in my prayers. people need to be more compassionate about their loss. sooner or later it happens to us all, treat others the way you want to be treated. be respectful of other people’s choices of a religon.

I hope the authorities checked whether or not this child was being properly treated for seizure disorder. Scientologists have a predisposition not to treat ailments because the believe if the affected person can “will” themselves well. I was privy to this information while taking care of an 11 y/o spinal cord injury patient who was told by the Scientologists that if he really wanted to walk he would. Despite the fact that the kid’s cord was severed!

This is so sad.
I think they did everything under the sun for this kid. They can’t get a break because people want to complain about their choice of religion.
They were with this boy all the time, plus they hired not one, but TWO people to help keep him safe! And it was stated that they DID medicate him when it was appropriate. It’s so horrible that this happened to him. They will always feel sick over it, wondering what if they just hadn’t gone on vacation … If they’d just been there in the room, if they checked on him. They really didn’t get to say goodbye. They’ll never be the same again.
My brother worked for them for a while in FL and he said Jett and Ella are no doubt, their entire world (and that Jett was well cared for, not ignored, as some people want to claim).^
I feel very sad for them. They must be suffering tremendously.
