Jett Travolta’s Cause of Death Could Be Determined Today

The cause of 16-year-old Jett Travolta’s death could be determined later today, as two clinical and forensic pathologists are set to perform an autopsy in the Bahamas.
Arrangements are also currently being made for Jett’s body to be transported to Ocala, Fla., near the family’s home in the Jumbolair fly-in community.
The 16-year-old son of John Travolta and Kelly Preston died Friday at the family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island. He hit his head on a bathtub after suffering a seizure. (The boy had a history of having seizures.)
“John is distraught. He is trying to understand and reconcile this,” Travolta’s lawyer and confidant, Michael McDermott, and Michael Ossi, the family’s attorney, told Usmagazine.com Saturday in a joint telephone interview.
Travolta and Preston said they were “heartbroken” in a statement on her Web site Sunday.
“Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered,” they said.
