On the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives, Eva Longoria Parker’s character will turn into an exhausted homemaker with two kids. In real life, the actress is looking forward to having her own children with husband Tony Parker.

“I can’t wait!” Longoria Parker, 33, told People Monday after a press conference announcing the 2008 Alma Awards.

Pregnancy rumors began anew after she was photographed off the coast of Italy in a bikini looking slightly fuller than normal in early July. But her rep has said the actress put on weight to play the part of Gabrielle this season.

The 2008 Alma Awards air on ABC on Sept. 12 and highlight the work of Latino actors in film and television. Longoria Parker, the host and executive producer of the show, attended Monday’s Alma announcement with actor Cristián de la Fuente.
