Welsh actor Rhys Ifans is returning to his rock roots – he’s teaming up with his former Super Furry Animals bandmate Dadydd Ieuan to form a new group.

The pair has recruited fellow musicians Dic Ben, Kris Jenkins and Nick Hilton and named the band The Peth, and they will release their debut album The Golden Mile in September.

The Notting Hill actor was part of the original line-up of the Super Furry Animals, but left the group before they rose to national fame in the U.K. in the mid-1990s.
