Geri Halliwell was trapped in an elevator yesterday

Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell kept her fans waiting at a book signing on Monday - because she was trapped in an elevator.
The singer-turned-author was rescued by firemen after she was trapped for an hour at the Lakeside Shopping Center in Essex, England when the service elevator broke down.
The 35-year-old was due to sign copies of her new children’s book, Ugenia Lavender, at a book store - but waiting fans were told by staff there had been “an incident”.
Once she was finally rescued, Halliwell explained the delay to the waiting children saying, “I got stuck in a lift.”

What a wasted opportunity, surely someone could have opened up the doors further up the shaft and poured petrol down it? Could’ve charged people to chuck lit matches down it too, you’d have made a mint, even at 10p a go.

For “trapped in an elevator” read “No one turned up for the book signing so her PR cooked up this stunt to divert attention away from the fact that nobody cares about this silly, vacuous tart anymore”?
