Angelina Jolie admits to having low self-esteem
If Angelina Jolie has low self-esteem then there really isn’t any hope for the rest of us.
She says, “I struggle with low self-esteem all the time. I think everyone does. I have so much wrong with me, it’s unbelievable.”
What’s unbelievable is that she thinks she has so much wrong with her.
I guess it’s not enough that she made People magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People list.
But on the other hand, aren’t we all our own worst critic?

I actually love the fact that she has admitted her battle with low self-esteem. It makes her REAL and NORMAL, with the same struggles we all face.
Yes it’s true, she’s one of the most beautiful women on the planet, but almost every woman I know just doesn’t see what everyone else sees when they look in the mirror.

I agree, llana. Everyone always thinks the grass is greener on the other side, but it ends up usually being the same color! That aside, she is breathtakingly beautiful, even more so since she and Brad have been together. I am really happy for them.

Well, it’s perfectly understandable to have low self esteem when people judge you 24/7. Negative (and very unjust) things are said about her and others constantly. It would have to start to get to you after a while.
I just adore her and I think she is a great person. Since none of us know any of them, how can you honestly say she is a husband stealer? You can’t “steal” a person that comes with you willingly. It’s comments like those that have to break down your esteem by great degrees.

So true, Nat! She didn’t “steal” anyone. It was BRAD’S choice to leave Jennifer, but everyone places all the blame on Angelina while he’s exonnerated of any wrong-doing. I love Angelina. I loved how patient she was with Maddox when she first adopted him and how becoming a mom changed her. I love her even more now that she’s mommy of four, girlfriend to Brad and expecting their 5th child!

Angelina has a very beautiful face, but a weird past, broken relationship with her father, STRANGE relationship with her brother, twice divorced, a 70 year old’s body, a very deep rooted need for approval and a very restless nature.
By contrast she is generous, strong, hard working, charitable and has a great ability to connect with people who have a completely different life to her own.
Just because someone is pretty, dating someone pretty with pretty kids doesn’t make everything ok. You spend more time living with what’s going on inside you than you do looking in the mirror.
I hope she’s addressing her issues because little girls pick up on their mother’s fears & insecurities, espcially during their teens.

brad wasn’t the only man she “stole”…BBT was pretty much living with Laura Dern. She went off to film on-location and when she got back, BBT and Angie were married. but I do agree on the “stealing” part. no man that doesn’t want to be “stolen” will get stolen.
HOWEVER, I feel pretty confident in saying that Angie knew Brad/Jen were on the rocks and flaunted herself to brad giving him the “I’m available if you’re interested” vibe. which she most likely put out for BBT as well. she makes herself available to men that are taken and, let’s face it…men are weak in general and certainly when it comes to someone like Jolie. so, while she didn’t “steal” him, she certainly is skanky enough to get involved with men who are, for all intents and purposes, taken. I think it’s part of her low-self esteem problems. a LOT of women with self esteem issues do stuff like that. It’s the “let’s see if I’m attractive enough for him to leave his current squeeze for me” syndrome. I’ve know girls like that since high school…even so-called friends who hit on a boyfriend. they do it for some type of affirmation on their worth.

I seriously doubt her low self-esteem has anything to do with her looks. Her looks are probably the main source of the confidence she does have. Maybe she doesn’t think she’s smart enough, or talented enough, or nice enough, or whatever. We all have those issues.

Most women who stalk married or men that are in a relationship have very low self esteem. They do it to boost it. It is like if he likes me more than his wife I must be special. She hit pay dirt when she went after the other half of “America Sweethearts” So she is correct in saying she has many issues. I assume it stems from her dad leaving her mom and how her mom dealt with it.She needs to sort them out and stop going for the boost to her low self esteem by flirting her way through life. Very needy indeedy.

Nasty Bugger I agree with you completly although it is inaccurate to call her a man stealer. She is one of those women that get off on seducing men that are in relationships. This is a clear indication that she has deep seated insecurities, because a woman who has her self esteem intact would be turned off be a man who cannot honor his committments.I believe Brad has some serious karmic debt.

It’s understandible that Angelina Jolie would have “guilt” problems. She broke up Laura Dern’s engagement to Billy Bob Thorton without a single thought to how Laura would feel when it hit the paps that she had married her fiancee…not a good way to treat another female; then goes on to repeat this error with Boy-Man Pitt. Karma is a witch, and most likely she is feeling the need to “wipe the slate clean” now that she is portraying herself publicly as the new Mother Theresa. I much prefered her at her insanest as her daddy said, “she needs help”

There was nothing “inappropriate” about it, like it was nothing “inappropriate” about Javier Bardem kissing his mother or Travolta kissing kirk Douglas.
People like you only find it “shocking” because it’s Angelina Jolie and everything she does for some people is always “shocking” and “weird” blah, blah.
Nothing Angelina ever did as she was growing up (because everything you keep throwing at her happen in her teens and twenties) is new or weird or whatever. Millions of young people go throw it/do it. The drugs, the cutting, the suicidal thoughts… it’s very common at that age. Do you some names in Hollywood that went through the same things?
The only difference is that Angelina told and spoke about it openly (everything the media knows about Angelina, knows it from her mouth) thinking that she could help other young people that could be having similar problems.
She probably didn’t thought that people would be using it against her and turning in something “weird”, “dirty” or whatever, years after.
