Bai Ling has been arrested for stealing a couple of celebrity magazines and a package of batteries on Wednesday. She had posted a photo of herself at the scene of the crime on her website moments before the incident happened.

Sounds like a publicity stunt to me.

According to reports in the US, the actress was supposedly caught shoplifting two celebrity magazines and a packet of batteries from a shop in Los Angeles International Airport.

Police sources say that Ling, 37, walked into the store at 4.30 pm on Wednesday February 13, later walking out with $16 worth of goods she allegedly didn’t pay for. A shop assistant placed her under citizen’s arrest.

Witnesses say Ling was “cooperative and crying” when airport police took her to the station. She was booked for theft but a court date has yet to be set.
