Scarlet Johansson the new Obama girl?
Hillary Clinton has Barbra Streisand. Mike Huckabee has Chuck Norris. And now presidential candidate Barack Obama has Scarlett Johansson.
After partying with beau Ryan Reynolds for New Year’s, the actress surfaced at the Iowa Caucuses on Thursday to support the Democratic contender and F.O.O. (Friend of Oprah).
An Obama press rep tells People the 23-year-old Lost in Translation star showed up at events in Des Moines and Coralville.

Alix – Its raelly not that simple. What about the poor innocent residents of the country that the US invaded without an invite? Should we leave them to fend for themselves? Go through a civil war? No one wants another Vietnam. The States started all this, they need to end it properly, not wuss out and leave before everything is settled.

Yeah, but the reality is Alix, one of these pigs is going to be the president no matter what, so you should get as educated as you can on them and make a decision to pick the lesser of the evils. I’m very much against this war and I feel we have no business being there and that these are senseless deaths as well. But, as far as this war is concerned, the only power we really have as citizens of the US is to help pick the next president and hope that they will find a way to end this. Trust me, if complaining about it on the internet, protesting or any other actions we made as citizens did any good, I’d be doing it constantly. I have a cousin and a good friend over there right now. But, sadly, the Bush administration is beyond ignorant. All we can do is hope that there will be a change when someone else is elected.
