BREAKING NEWS: Ving Rhames’ Dogs Kill Worker

A caretaker working for Ving Rhames was mauled to death by the actor’s dogs at his home in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the man was attacked by at least two dogs believed to belong to the Mission Impossible star, who is currently out of the country filming a movie on location.
The man, who has not been identified, was in his early 40s and had worked for Rhames for two years, according to Los Angeles Police Sergeant Lee Sands.
Police said they believed that the dogs belonged to the actor.
The victim’s body was found at 7:15 Friday morning, covered in bite marks, lying in the front yard of Rhames’ home on the 12900 block of San Vicente Boulevard. The residence has a “Beware of Dog” sign on the front gate.
Animal control officers have taken all four of the actor’s dogs into custody, including two bull mastiffs believed to be responsible for the attacks, police told the Times.

This is so sad. My condolences to the caretaker’s family as well as Ving Rhames.

Its sad what happened, but they could have included the breeds of the 2 other dogs too. This is just going to be more fuel in the “Ban the Breed” campaigns.
My parents have 2 pitbull-retriever mixed and they are the most loving dogs I have ever known. in the 2 years that they have had them, they have never bitten or scratched anybody. In fact, it was the German Shephard that had to be put down when my came home from pretty major surgery, and the dog attacked her.

Mastiff dogs are not violent – they are on a list as one of the top ten best family dogs.

It’s a sad day in this country when people fight for DOGS to have more rights than humans. BAN EM.

Oh No! How sad. ALL breeds can be unpredictable – banning one breed will stop this from happening.

argh … sorry that should say
banning one breed will NOT stop this from happening.

This is just such incredibly SAD NEWS

its NOT a breed thing. I just saw a jack russel terrier (very small play full breed of dog) take out an austrailian shepard at the dog park last night for NO reason. Its how dogs are raised and socialized. Any dog can be raised to be vicious, and any dog can be raised to be a loving family pet. Either way, this is so so sad

TMZ has stated that according to the police the guy probably had a heart attack – wounds were on the face – not life threatening wounds. Police said the dogs are friendly. I think the dogs are getting a bad rap

The wounds probably occured AFTER the guy died from a heart attack

Don’t state that the dogs killed him unless it has already been PROVEN!!!!!! They still don’t know if he died before or after getting bitten. If he had in fact been MAULED there would not be individual bite marks, but a mass of ripped up flesh…Individual bites indicate something else. Maybe they were trying to save/help him. On the whole Bull Mastiffs are not an aggressive breed, quite the opposite actually. They are known to be gentle giants, and only attack when directly threatened.
