Lindsay 21st Beach Birthday Bash
Lindsay Lohan had more to celebrate on July 2 than turning 21 – she is also more than 30 days sober!
But the actress decided to ring in the milestone birthday with a low-key party instead of the big Las Vegas blowout that was originally planned.
Lohan asked for a Carvel ice cream cake for her party on Monday at a private beach house in Malibu, California. “It’s her favorite because it reminds her of when she was little,” says her rep.
As for washing it down, the beverages were strictly non-alcoholic with guests (including pal Samantha Ronson who DJ’d the event, and Lohan’s sobriety coach) drinking Pepsi, SoBe and vitamin drinks.
“I can’t believe she’s 21,” mom Dina tells Us of her oldest child. “We’re all so proud of how hard she’s been working to get better.”
Lohan passed the day playing beach tennis with her family, including her three siblings Ali, 13, Dakota, 11, and Michael, 19.
On top of the iPhone she got before her birthday, Lohan received Cartier jewelry, blue Louis Vuitton shoes, a skull necklace and a beach cruiser bike with a bell and basket from her assistant, Jenni.
For party favors, each guest received a visor with the actress’ initials.
The I Know Who Killed Me star apologized to neighbors Courteney Cox and David Arquette for the paparazzi chaos, but they said it was no sweat – and even wished her a happy birthday!

Happy Birthday, Lins–Keep It Simple by staying away from BOOZE one-day-at-a-time! She is off to a good start by not partying away her 21st b-day in Vegas!

I cannot believe she made #1 most beautiful … I think her body is aweful looking. She has a beautiful face … below is another story!

I wish her the best of luck and she’s off to a great start. That’s not an easy road and in her case, it has to be even harder. Being so young and in the public eye, she’s going to have to be tough!

I really wish the best for Lindsay. Out of Paris, Britney & herself, she has the most to offer as far as talent goes. Have been through rehab myself, I have been praying for her recovery.
