Britney has lost her ever lovin mind.
Usmagazine.com has learned exclusively what happened inside Esther’s Hair Salon in Tarzana, California, Friday night when Britney Spears showed up and commenced her infamous shave-a-thon.
“We have no idea how she found us,” an owner of the salon tells Us. “She just walked in and said she wanted to shave her head. Esther has been in the business for 30 years and said, ‘I’m not doing that.’ But Britney was set on having her head shaved so she started doing it herself. Esther warmed up after a few minutes and helped her.”
But why did Brit go bald? The salon source says, “I don’t know what’s going on in her head, but she obviously is not very happy deep down, but she thought it would make her happy to have her head shaved. She didn’t say if she liked it or not, but she thought it would make her happy to do it so she did.”
Britney’s shocking salon visit came amid conflicting reports of a 24-hour stint in rehab earlier in the week. Britney returned to L.A. Friday on an American Airlines flight from Miami, surprising fellow passengers by sitting in the last row of coach class.
And within hours after landing, the peripatetic mother-of-two managed once again to shock onlookers. This time by shaving her head and getting two tattoos at a curbside parlor in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley.
Usmagazine.com was there as Britney left her Malibu home Friday evening and paid a visit to a Tarzana salon for her brief stint in, uh, hair-hab.
But Britney’s night of self-defiling had only just begun.
We were there again when at about 8:30 p.m. Britney arrived at Body & Soul Tattoo in Sherman Oaks.
Shop employee Emily Wynne-Hughes tells Usmagazine.com that Britney arrived at the parlor agitated and, when asked why she shaved her head, replied, “I don’t want anyone touching me. I’m tired of everybody touching me.”
Hughes adds, “She wasn’t making sense at all and you could tell she’s not in a good place at all, and that she is totally freaking out.”
Hughes tells us Britney then got a black-white-and-pink cross tattooed on her lower hip and red-and-pink lips on her wrist. The price: $80.
Britney was not an ideal subject, however. “She was a nightmare to deal with,” says Hughes. “She was screaming and flipping out from the pain and wiggling her body all around.”
At one point during Britney’s one-hour visit, Hughes asked Britney why there was a pink stain on her fluffy white handbag and Britney said she had “spilled Nyquil all over it.”
Hughes, who was somewhere between appalled and concerned by what she saw, adds, “After she left the shop we all just looked around and said to each other, ‘We just saw a huge celebrity on the verge of a nervous breakdown.’”
The unconfirmed rehab reports come three days after Spears’ former assistant, Felicia Culotta, posted a letter on a Britney fan site saying she is “crushed/saddened/heart sick by the way her life is unfolding.”
Culotta told fans: “I want you to know that WE (as in her Family and nearest and dearest—ALL of whom are NOT on the payroll anymore!!) are doing EVERYTHING in our power to get help for Britney.”
As Usmagazine.com reported on Thursday, after partying hard last week in New York City, Spears traveled to South Florida this week for a little R&R with her two sons, 17-month-old Sean Preston and 5-month-old Jayden James. Spears, 25, had checked into the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami around midnight on Monday with her boys, sources told Us.”
Though she originally planned to stay a week, Britney unexpectedly cut her trip short on the night of Valentine’s Day after drinking one glass of champagne from a bottle of Dom Perignon that she ordered to her room, says a source. “She was very eager to [leave] because something happened,” the source tells Us.
Reps for Spears couldn’t be reached for comment.

Wow. I hope she doesn’t give up, can’t we try see her as a person and not a pop-personality? A young woman who needs help and her own space. I do hope those children go to whom they will be happiest with.

Well I personally think it’s a good thing what she has done. Let us hope the phoenix will now rise from the ashes and the britney of old will return with it. I am looking forward to seeing how her hair grows back. It can’t have been good for her hair all that blonde, brunette, back to blonde crap!

Know what? I think she looks GREAT. She is holding her head so proudly and smiling. She’s got a long graceful neck and I think… she’s rockin this look.
(And I’m not really a fan.)
Hopefully she’s reinventing herself – tearing down to build up fresh – very deliberately.
Maybe she’s giving the finger to the expectation that she has to have long blond hair and be objectified.
If so, well played miss spears.

Why would the tatoo parlor agree to tatoo her? I thought they were suppopsed to sort of pre-screen people to make sure they are not drunk or high or whatever! And how could she just walk into a LICENSED hair salon and shave her own head?? When Britney sobers up she’ll sue. I feel bad she was taken advantage of.
BTW I think she looks pretty.

It’s very sad to see the road that Britney has been travelling on since her divorce from KFED! She keeps digging that hole deeper and deeper and one of these days if she dosen’t stop what she is doing she is going to end up burried in it. She literally has snapped and it’s time she got some serious held. She needs to get away from the clubs and focus on her kids and herself. She needs to get away to a private island and get away from all this craziness!! My prayers are with her that she gets better

She did just have a baby. Postpartum depression can hit months after the baby’s birth. And she’s going through a very public divorce; a shaved head isn’t so bad. I wish her the best.

I’m sorry, but I have to say that Brit needs help. Her reason for shaving her head was that she doesn’t like people touching her. WTF is she on?! And then she went and got tattooed?! Frankly, I think that she’s lost her mind, maybe so much that she can’t get it back. Brit is doing an extremely poor job in raising two children. They should be taken away because it is evident that they are not in good hands with her. She needs Jesus.

I’m with the postpartum thing. With all of the pressure she is under I don’t know how a new mother could avoid it. Same thing with ANS. Those post partum hormones can be a real bitch.

She’s made her own bed, let her lie in it. She’s always done bizzare things and this is another way to get attention and feel sorry for her. She’s a has been and sinking lower. It’s over Britney, go home to your babies “after” you get some help.

I am torn on Britney these days. Personally I think she is addicted to attention, booze, drugs, and men, and is a spoiled brat. She wants what she wants no matter what the cost. The past week or so the entertainment shows have put her and her latest antics on the back burner to focus on someone more tragic…and oops there she goes and does something so extreme, that isn’t everyone just talking about her again. It doesn’t matter if they’re talking crap about her…so long as they are talking. She has manipulated the media before and continues to play little games with them, for what ever enjoyment she gets from it.
The other half of me kinda feels sorry for her, cause she really can’t carry on a normal life…you know doing the everyday things without a camera crew in tow catching every little movement she makes on film. That must be hard to take when your whole life seems to be falling apart. And sometimes she looks so sad and alone, it is painful. I really do think she has some form of mental disorder that is being ignored.

I think she was blackmailed into getting her hair cut..I think Kfed is behind it..trying to make her look like she is going crazy or something. I think she loves her kids and is a great mom. And I think everyone should take a step make a think about it and quit judging her. We all make mistakes, our lives are just not in the public like hers. Lets just pray for her and hope everything works out for her and the kids. Suddenly everyone is a kfed fan..isn’t that odd..hmmm..he use to be a nobody. I think he still is or he would be more worried about the well being of his childrens mother. Its always about money though..sad.
