I am getting so disgusted with the state of TV these days. I was flipping through the channels the other day, and found a show about a company that makes fish tanks. FISH TANKS!? What the hell is interesting about that!? There is seriously no rock left unturned anymore, no story untold. There will soon be a show about my life…stay tuned.

The network is set to unveil Obese & Expecting, about four moms-to-be who are morbidly overweight.

The project will chronicle their health crises, weight gain and relationship struggles as they strive to deliver healthy babies.

According to the upcoming announcement, “These women are challenging the perception — and the odds — of obese pregnancies, as they become moms, no matter their size or complications.”

The network will launch Obese & Expecting as a one-hour special and potential backdoor series pilot next month. Many TLC shows (such as the hit Extreme Couponing) first launch as stand-alone specials, then the network gauges audience reaction and decides whether to order a full season. We wouldn’t be surprised if this concept, at the very least, received a fair amount of pre-launch publicity (the show’s original working title, by the way, was the MTV-inspired My Supersize Pregnancy, though we would have gone with, say, 600 & Pregnant).

Will you watch? C’mon, you can be honest.

Actress Rooney Mara films a scene for her new movie, “The Bitter Pill” in Central Park.

The Steven Soderbergh movie is about woman who turns to prescription medication as a way of handling her anxiety concerning her husband’s upcoming release from prison.

The film also stars Channing Tatum, Jude Law and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Remember how Steven Soderbergh was “quitting” directing to pursue painting? Whatever happened with that? I’m happy he’s not quitting – I’m a huge fan of (most of) his movies. Just seems weird to proclaim you’re quitting …. then not quit.

Erin and I had the pleasure of being assigned a shopping trip to Kohl’s! (All in a days work, I tell you.)

We both spent several hours trying on clothes, and picking the perfect outfit! We came up with these two beautiful outfits, both by Elle and Apt. 9!

I know for me, my favorite line was Elle. My shirt (polka dots) and pants were both Elle, and they fit beautifully! I just love the blue bow with the white/black top! Erin’s dress is Apt. 9, and is a beautiful navy blue dress with white designs. Her white cardigan is Elle.

Overall our shopping trip to Kohl’s was incredibly fun. The thing I love most about Kohl’s is how there is SO MUCH you can shop for and look at. We starting in the clothing department, and made our way around through home goods, (the sell the Food Network Line exclusively!! I bought several of those pieces myself) linens, shoes, kids clothing (also bought several super-cheap and adorable Carter’s pieces for my niece) and then finally through accessories.

One of the things that we appreciate so much about Kohl’s is the incredible lines they carry. They have collections from Jennifer Lopez (her pajama’s are ridiculously cute…. I want one in every color!), Rock & Republic, Elle, LC Lauren Conrad, Daisy Fuentas, Dana Buchman, Apt. 9, Chaps and Candies!

The other thing we REALLY appreciate about Kohl’s – is the pricing. I can’t think of another store that has such good sales – and all the time!

I’m wearing a top by Elle, regularly $44, I bought on sale for $24.20. The black Elle pants I’m wearing were regularly $64.00 - and I bought them on sale for only $22.40!

Erin is wearing a beautiful blue and white dress by Apt. 9, regularly priced $60.00. She only paid $34.99 for it! Her white Elle cardigan was regularly priced $50, and she got it on sale for $30!

The nice thing about our pieces – is how versatile they are! I’ve worn my pieces separately a handful of times already, and I absolutely love them! Erin’s gorgeous sundress will be perfect going into summer – she can pair it with wedges for a night out – or sandals – for a laid back get together! I think we both truly love our pieces and can’t wait to wear them all summer!

If you haven’t been into Kohl’s recently, we highly recommend it. They have such great summer dresses – and for such an affordable price. I know I’m going to be spending quite a bit more time in Kohl’s this summer – and especially buying back-to-school clothes for the boys. With prices like thiers, you can’t afford to miss out!
