‘Draft Day’ star, Jennifer Garner, was on The Tonight Show last night, and broke down how the parenting works in the Affleck household. I think many moms would sympathize with Garner’s plight:
‘If it has to do with making food, or homework, or anything that has to do with actually functioning…That’s a mom thing.’
The 41-year-old added: ‘Sorry, it’s true. Then, coming in just as you’re getting them into bed and picking them up by their heels and swinging them around, that’s a Dad thing.’
‘Anything fun, that is Ben.’
She also shared a funny anecdote about how pleased husband, Ben Affleck, is to have a son:
She told Jimmy: ‘He loves his girls but he is so psyched to have a son. So he taught him about his bits. He taught him about his ‘P’ and his two ’Ns’.
And then Fallon joked: ‘Don’t tell me – pancreas and two nipples.’
Jennifer added: ‘So now every time we pass a dog who’s walking on the street, or if we’re at a zoo or something, our poor little son is crouching down, looking up and he’s like, “Mama does that have a vagina or a penis and two nuts?”
‘Draft Day’ comes out tomorrow, which she costars in with Kevin Costner. Garner will also be seen in Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, due out in October, based on the children’s book by Judith Viorst. I’m actually totally excited to see this movie because it was a favorite book of mine when I was younger. I always think it’s interesting when they manage to adapt a short children’s book into a full length feature film. Steve Carrell will play the father- so it’s bound to be cute.
