Joe Francis has sent a ‘cease and desist’ letter to Madonna, saying that he’ll sue the pants off the ‘Material Girl’ if she even thinks of performing her song ‘Girls Gone Wild’ at the Super Bowl.

Francis’ lawyer threatens to sue all of them for attempting to get a “free ride on the valuable consumer goodwill and brand recognition” of Joe’s famous trademark.

Francis’ lawyer makes it clear:  “Your misappropriation of my clients’ trademark will not be tolerated.”

But Francis is willing to cut a deal with Madonna, provided she agrees to the following terms:

– Negotiate an immediate licensing agreement for the use of Joe’s trademark
– Account for the number of times Madonna has already used the trademark
– NOT PERFORM THE SONG AT THE SUPER BOWL

Francis and his lawyers actually think Madonna and the NFL are conspiring with one another. He wants a response by 5p.m. today “or else.’

I’m sure Madonna’s shaking in her boots.

It’s always sad to lose your best friend, especially one that’s been apart of your family for 20 years.

Miranda Lambert tweeted that her doggie died this week, and this just rounds off the recent sad times she’s already been having seeing as how she lost her best friend and father-in-law.

“My parents just told me. Headed now to bury my friend of 20 years.”

The country singer has always been a vocal animal lover, often raving about her dogs Delta, Delilha, Jessi, Waylon, Virginia Bluebell, Black Betty and Cher, and this sudden loss seems to have hit her hard.

“I hope what they say is right. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”

“Thanks for the prayers.”

Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland was spotted at The Grove in Los Angeles earlier today laughing it up during her interview with Mario Lopez for Extra.

Ashley Greene, arguably the cutest vampire on the planet — or at least in the Twilight series — stopped by ‘Live with Kelly!’ this morning. She signed autographs for adoring fans before talking about having to balance out her party lifestyle with her serious film career.

“I was like ‘Oh, I can go out and do this and do that,’ and it took me about five seconds to realize ‘If you do that, you’re not going to book jobs, and there are 10,000 girls who want your job.’ It’s all glitz and glamour in Hollywood, and you want to be part of it. And the deadly thing is that you meet people who do have the money and do have fame and are in a position to not spend every waking moment working toward getting a job, and it’s easy to feel like you can do it too, when really you haven’t earned it. You can either socialize or you can study your script, and luckily I learned that pretty quick!”

Daniel Radcliffe has shared in the past that he battled with a drinking problem while he was working on the ‘Harry Potter‘ films.  During the promotion of his new movie ‘Woman in Black‘,  Daniel tells Heat magazine that he didn’t drink AT work, but there were plenty of days that he was definitely still wasted when he got there:

“I went into work still drunk,” he tells the magazine. “I can point to many scenes where I’m just gone. Dead behind the eyes. I have a very addictive personality. It was a problem.”

Stressing that he didn’t drink at work, Radcliffe adds that, “People with problems like that are very adept at hiding it. It was bad. I drank a lot and it was … nightly.”

The actor has said that he no longer drinks. “You either have to change something,” he tells Heat, “or give into that shame.”

This makes me sad.  I’m so glad Daniel got help and stopped drinking, but I hope some of his younger fans don’t read that interview.  I’m sure they’ve got him up on a pedestal and who wants to watch Harry and wonder “hmm..wonder if THAT was one of the scenes he mentioned?”.   I bet Warner Brothers wishes he weren’t being so honest….
